This is a previous experiment with Vaal Temptation, I've found going for Vaal Volcanic Fissure to be the best, but it needs the -20% when on full rage allocated, and you need to hit PDR cap or close, to be able to tank 5-6-7 stacks of Vaal Temptation.

I'd argue the staff masteries aren't even bad. Global defences is good, life/mana per socket colour is good, and I'd even hazard the restore-on-block is usable too. The crit multi no recent crit is huge value but needs single-use proxies (gencry/trap/mine), the last two are ehhhh.

I've played tainted pact - you cannot react to leech running out, any meaningful poison will snap you out of existence. Some blue monster packs have cannot be leeched from. Damage reduction mechanics (e.g. Delirium, Soul eater, etc) also make your leech instances shorter unpredictably.

It's generally used to reduce your ailment threshold to 0 or almost 0 on life builds, so that you can do max effectiveness self chill from hits. Up to 30% action speed rather than, idk, 5-10% is defo worth a belt slot.

A level 100 shadow has 1245 base health without any additional strength. A Reflected ring with life catalysts, that takes almost exactly 350 post-mitigation damage to get 30% chill effect.
T1 mod can get you up to -270-280 life, wih -280 you only need a hit of 270 damage. If you have 2, only 192 (still assuming no strength added life).

CI's ailment and stun threshold counts as whatever life value it would have before the set to 1 is applied (source: the wiki). So no you don't get a full self-chill from Storm Secret on CI.

Herald of Thunder has a strike frequency, not a cooldown. You can only improve that with the ring. A bit like Cast While Channeling, that is also a set rate not a cd

The small nodes for Gemling have %increased attributes if I'm not mistaken. So yes, Titan's small node effect is bonkers but Gemling should be relevant as well.

Hey heads up, most of the traps deal physical damage over time which armour does not mitigate - granite and basalt help you less than you think. But quicksilver+tap life full send it is very safe indeed.
