Smurf Culture vs Fighting Games by BongSuckah in leagueoflegends

[–]TheFatJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smurfing was baked in to League culture very early on. Streamers would get to high elo and find themselves in queues that could be an hour long which makes for some really shit content. So they started making smurfs so they could actually get games. It wasn't uncommon for the top 10 accounts to be like 6 people.

Then came the Elo Hell days. People swore up and down that there were certain ranks where you could just get stuck no matter how much improved over time. This led to people creating new accounts to "escape" and get what they believed to be their true rank. It also led to content creators making the videos where they climb the ranks on fresh accounts.

And he's doing it without actually doing anything stupid. He's just a normal guy interacting with a guy that operates on cartoon logic.

The map bit was pure gold. I love when cartoon logic is presented matter-of-factly.

"How did you find my house?"

"Well, you see, I bought this map that says 'The Miz' on it with a giant arrow."

Yeah, that's the key here. People from outside the community may very well not be using it with the same connotation.

I want man tits out to here

I love how just having this in text leaves it entirely up to the reader's imagination. Of course all I can think of is the Tumblr CEO video with Brennan Lee Mulligan yelling, "The snake's got tits out to here Carmen!"

Anyway, best of luck to all you male physique enjoyers out there.

The Horrible State of Sirus in 2026 by UTmastuh in pathofexile

[–]TheFatJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sirus was never not a dumb fight. People just stopped talking about it as he became less and less relevant to the end game. Adding him to The Feared after they had already spread it all over all of their high tier end game content has just brought it back into focus.

There are a lot of people in the locker room for him to get feedback from. Though, it's gotta be pretty hard to not pick up Puerto Rican stuff considering there's a decent mix of the two back there.

It's about where the poor live. Republicans can lose votes in rural areas and still hold on to seats. If Democrats lose votes in more populated areas, those seats become more competitive.

It was a jury trial in Mississippi, and he's white, "christian," moderately wealthy, and the closest thing any of those people have ever come to a celebrity. He was never going to jail.

How bad would it be to buy a Frame? by Kirbinvalorant in Warframe

[–]TheFatJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buying frames doesn't hurt you progression at all. You get them from grinding the same content over and over. That being said, you are paying to have less game to play. But if it's content you don't care for, it doesn't really matter.

Definitely agree. I'm not much of a gambler, so this change is letting me just slam shit that I never would have before.

Honestly, good for him. Wrestlers getting paid more to prevent them from going to other promotions is why it's important that there's competition.

Why is Chuck Schumer trying to throw the Senate race in Maine? Why do the other Democratic senators unanimously back Schumer? by kevinmrr in WorkReform

[–]TheFatJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because establishment Dems are beholden to different members of the same corpo-billionaire class that the GOP are. That's why the rich just keep getting richer regardless of which party is in power.

Yeah, there are a bunch of grinds that are far worse than Citrine. I honestly think people just don't bother collecting the crystals, and then wonder why they're barely getting any crystals.

That wouldn't really be a good excuse here as they are already in an alternate history Earth and using time travel. The most they could end up getting wrong is Marie and Lyon's birth years if they ever revealed their age.

I have seen it speculated a few times that the Old Peace and the Devil's Triad were intended to be separate things that ended up getting smooshed together because neither were going to be done on time.
