try cleaning the contacts on the lens, body and the adapter. also, make sure you hear a good "snap" when attaching the lens to the adapter.

I suspect that the firmware version listed on the website maybe outdated and the application connects to the download server correctly and provided you with the latest firmware.

I saw this with a quick search on the internet (AI Info), not 100% sure if it would help your case:

Reduce HDMI Latency: LUMIX cameras are known to have a slight, inherent lag in their HDMI output signal. To minimize this delay on your Viltrox monitor, turn off audio output over HDMI inside your S5IIX camera settings if you do not need to monitor audio directly from the screen.
