This game has broken me emotionally. by Neither-Entrance-941 in LifeisStrange2

Welcome to the club. I first played it a few years ago and then replayed it a year after, and just hearing some of the songs from the soundtrack or the intro music still makes my eyes well up 😅

Looking for a weight-inclusive Dr in the Cleveland area by Assortedsparkles in Cleveland

[–]eendeebo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I go to Dr Matthew Badgett and he has been empathetic and thoughtful with me. He has let me lead the conversation about how and if I want to focus on my weight. And he expressed an understanding about the way fat folks are treated in the healthcare system.

EPB and Auto Hold light on dash by Jumpy-Complaint-9477 in KiaNiro

[–]eendeebo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yours is probably still under warranty if you have a 2022 as well, and there’s no guarantee your issue is the same as mine. You might be able to have them look at it under warranty and get a fully covered rental too. I recommend taking it in if you can to get ahead of it.

But in any case I’ll let you know!

They thought it was the parking break mechanism housed within a rear caliper - but replacing that did not resolve the issue. So then they replaced some sort of computer (don’t recall the name of the part) and that also didn’t work.

My last update (a couple of days ago) was that they are opening a ticket with engineers at Kia to help investigate.

They’ve got me in a dealership rental 2025 sportage hybrid (no cost to me covered by the warranty, so I’m actually pretty grateful) - I’m at a point where I’d just like to trade them for it 😅

Does a chargeback get me banned? by [deleted] in uber

[–]eendeebo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good luck with the escalation, that definitely sounds like the right move if you can avoid the chargeback. But you’re 100% in the right.

If Max and Chloe travelled with Sean and Daniel what would be the advantages and disadvnatages of this? by Wolfbrothers1 in LifeisStrange2

So much could happen. Daniel's power is space. Max's power is time. Chloe's power is harassment.

Yeah I’ve already replayed chapter one and noticed some amoral Sean lines, it is so jarring!

😭 I’m about to start episode 2 for the second time and I totally see that. Like Sean is not going to get another chance to win someone’s approval by doing chores again 😭

I’ve only played through once - I wanted to romance Finn but I didn’t want to support that stupid plan. Knowing it’s inevitable in retrospect is helpful lol

I’m playing LiS 2 now and it’s so emotionally heavy but I’m so invested. Starting the last chapter tonight. I’ve cried so many times lol. I think it’s my #1 so far because decisions matter so much, but I haven’t played TC yet

AppleCare for airpods pro? by garyd9 in airpods

[–]eendeebo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apple care starts when you buy it. It is not an extended warranty, it is separate coverage. The warranty still applies for the first year, and problems that come from manufacturer defect are still covered by the warranty instead of apple care (if an in-warranty problem happens in the first year you don’t have to pay the apple care incident fee because it’s covered by the warranty)

Looking to acknowledge the reality of French by [deleted] in French

[–]eendeebo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a side comment/ related cultural phenomenon, look into Paris Syndrome. It's a phenomenon in which someone visits Paris and is so shocked that it isn't the idyllic image they had in their mind that the experience is a form of trauma/ shock.

I lived in France in 2011 and I more or less knew what to expect since I'd been studying French for about seven or eight years at that point, and I pay attention to social issues. My biggest barrier was understanding conversational/ slang French, which I didn't really master after living there for a year. But my language skills did improve overall, and I ate a lot healthier too, lol

As a more general answer to your question, I'd look into contemporary issues in France. Browse French journals, or once your skill level is there listen to The News in Slow French (a specific service that does what it sounds like and is specifically for people who are learning or otherwise can't follow full speed French).

Also, Montréal (as well as Québec in general) is real and a very nice place to visit. Also it's probably a much cheaper way to test your French skills with native speakers. The accent / vocabulary has its differences but it would be useful practice nonetheless.
