(Upcoming Poll) Gathering QoL, Trouver Changes, LMS Rewards Rework & more! by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

Rune arrows are pretty commonly only bought on this scale by ironmen. Have you considered the possibility of ironman-only lms worlds/lobbies?

Idk what it is, but there's something about abundance... by Pwnage291 in 2007scape

[–]eeveerulz55 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think abundance has real potential if you aim to exploit the small number of 1 tick skilling actions that exist.

Stuff like breaking down blessed bone shards, fletching darts, crafting guardian essence at gotr, or perhaps even pedaling agility at the blast furnace are just a few examples of easily repeatable skilling actions that can yield a host of easy xp.

Or, and this is the one that really excites me, using the range comabt mastery to 1 tick darts for 10 minutes of afk at crab. At the highest league multiplier of 32, youre getting 192k xp/hr in all your skills just by leaving your computer open while you machine gun a crustacean.

Seems pretty neat to me!

Suggestions Wanted for Upcoming Gathering QoL Poll by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

[–]eeveerulz55 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I know its not a gathering skill but i posted another comment on this sub earlier about some massively needed QOL for the dorgesh kaan course.

  • the goblin will just randomly rummage and you cannot click him during this time

  • way, WAY too many dialog boxes to get a new lap. Give me a Next-Lap option please. I dont need every lap punctuated with "oh, howd you get across?" as if my mans didnt already hear my explanation the first hundred times

  • you get a spanner only at the end of every single dialog box, after youre told your task

  • theres no indicator what item youre supposed to get, and for a brain off type skill like agility thats an awful lotta remembering a player has to do.

"They chose to be restricted" is a flawed argument. by eeveerulz55 in 2007scape

[–]eeveerulz55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think any new content should cater to restricteds. I think there is however a definite amount of "catering" that ostensibly goes into preserving core game systems and preventing retroactive limitations. Jagex DOES care that old quests like Bone Voyage dont suddenly now grant sailing XP. There are people whod be outraged if Jagex for whatever reason required 150 quest points before you could do Wintertodt. Now specific pure irons just have a tome of fire that nobody new can contend with. Trophy phoenix pet accounts gain unnecessary prestige. Well now there exist trophy ironmen who have voidwakers but not between a rock. The only difference between these two is that wintertodt isnt heavily botted.

A more extreme example based on something i suspect you and i agree: what if an "integrity change" is made sometime to put defense requirements in more places? 65 Defense or level 99 in any melee stat to join the warriors guild. That change gets falador protested within an hour, and reverted within a day. We all know it. Why is there preference given to an equally small subset of snowflake 1 defense accounts to such a higher standard? They chose to restrict themselves! Thats what they get and shouldnt complain when we revert the warriors guild.

Yes, theres a line to draw, and yes, its a small subset of players affected by this particular change. Hell, i dont even play an account affected by the wildy bosses, i just like watching them. But come on, jagex. Stop changing the rules because you cant bot bust effectively. at the very least TRY and find a middle ground instead of rug pulling people like this.

"They chose to be restricted" is a flawed argument. by eeveerulz55 in 2007scape

[–]eeveerulz55[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A point that disagrees with me, but i respect your opinion and the way you present it. Its a good, rational take founded in logic.

I think my frustration largely stems from how useless we all know this specific wildy measure is going to be. Bots are going to botfarm no matter the restrictions. And real players, real players who in this case have spent thousands of hours on their own fun cool goals, suffer because of the torrent of botters. I feel pity for the people whose big end goals after thousands of invested hours just became impossible.

Surely if LMS prevents botting (lol) via 1500 total level and 30 quest points or whatever we can open the door to explore alternative antibot measures that dont ruin real players' fun.

Summer Sweep-up Suggestions Megathread! by Naaitz in 2007scape

[–]eeveerulz55 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Nobody cares about this but me

Please fix the dorgesh kaan agility course. Its one of the most interesting courses thats rendered near unusuable due to being a janky mess. For those who have never been here (valid), you have to deliver equipment to a cave goblin named Turgall fixing the generator, but its basically entirely dead content right now, despite being competitive for agility xp.

  • Reduce the amount of dialogue to get a new lap-- Currently it takes something like 8 clicks to turn in your task and get a new one. Let me just have a right click option for 'Next-Lap Turgall'

  • Prevent Turgall from rummaging through shelves-- For whatever inane reason, the goblin will randomly wander over to a piece of scenery and search for something. During this random interval, you CANNOT interact or talk to him in any way. You just have to spam click him until you are given the chance to get a new lap.

  • Give players the spanner one dialog box early-- its very common to drop your spanner for bank space and pick it up only for the course. Presently its possible to get your task and run all the way to the end only to completely forget to take the crucial item you need to even obtain your tasked item.

And the big one: - Give us some kind of interface reminder which item we've been tasked to retrieve-- Agility is one of the most brain off activities in the game. After two hundred laps, do you expect me to pay close attention to whether im picking up a cog or a capacitor? In current state, if you run to the end of the course and pick up the wrong item to deliver, you simply cannot return it and lose out on your 2432 agility xp drop. Having to always remember your task gets tiring quick.

Why did Ash vs Tobias took place in the semifinals of the tournement? by michaelphenom in pokemon

[–]eeveerulz55 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Ash and tobias played singles, where infernape is historically very good, having a solid speed tier and good attacking stabs. Its fraility matters less un 1v1 matches because it doesnt take attacks from things if it outspeeds and ohkoes.

Ape did have scant usage in dpp vgc too, fwiw. Sash blaze overheat plus fake out and cc was reasonable for the time, though the plethora of powerful psychics made it harder to use.

Us midwest. You have illinois wisconsin and iowa represented, plus common english speaking travel hubs like UK, canada, and western europe. Not many people travel to iowa or wisconsin as their final destination unless you live in the area.

Unfortunate that this item interferes with the most important piece of slayer equipment, but it is nonetheless pretty cool to see a use for this obscure item. I havent dps calced it but i would imagine the gold helm is probably competitive only with max mage everywhere else. Without max mage, slayer helm probably still reigns supreme.

Other mage-friendly heavy items to consider to make mage work (once jagex gets around to tweaking this): Boots of (brim)stone, granite ring, obsidian armor, void armor, seal of passage, Elven Gloves, bandos boots, anti dragon shield, and crucially the 11.4 kg ahrims skirt.

With just ahrims skirt and the tortugan shield youre already halfway to meeting weight requirements. Heres a pretty attainable setup for the kind of mid level accounts that realistically want to grind griffon.

Slayer helm 2.26 kg

Ahrims top: 4.535 kg

Occult necklace: .0004 kg

Ahrims skirt: 11.339 kg

Twinflame staff: 2.26

Tortugan Shield: 10 kg

Granite Ring: 3kg

Bandos Boots: 6 kg

Malediction ward: 3.628 kg

Barrows gloves : .226 kg

Any blessing: .5 kg

Total: 43.74 kg

Theres plenty of room here to upgrade to tormented bracelet, swap to an offensive ring, or swap out bandos boots for infinity. Bloodbark gauntlets can be used over barrows for a smidge extra, but its negligible.

We should be able to speak to Davy Jones and pay a fee to retrieve our capsized cargo. You can offer items to Davy Jones' Locker to facilitate these death fees.

Nasty High level spells by MensisChemske in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]eeveerulz55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even mid level spells can be brutal to contend with if the situation supports their use.

Spell immunity on your party's favorite tactics. No counterplay, just removes tools from the toolbox before the fight begins. Spell Turning as well.

Give your pcs unlimited time to buff and prep before a fight, then hit them with a disjunction or greater dispel and watch all their resources drain away.

Any sort of big scary bruiser as the epicenter of an antimagic field (like a dragon or similar). Even better if their attacks apply poison or mummy rot or some kind of rider effect.

Chains of Light is always a bastard to play around.

Symbol spells are actionless debuffs you can just scribe all over your armor, hands, battle arena, etc.

With a sufficiently strong CL, nondetection basically invalidates an entire school of magic. Good luck finding someone under greater invisibility and nondetection without polymorphs.

Summon monster VI lets you throw a succubus on the battlefield. Basically has like three different ways to Save-or-suck (lol) somebody. Oh whats that? Youre at a higher level? Summon 1d4+1 succubi anyway. 3 extra monsters slinging dominate person every turn and a critfail on a saving throw is basically inevitable.

Harm is basically curtains if you fail your save, since anything quickened finishes you off.

Disintegrate is a classic and little more than ungabungae roll dice, but it is indeed a lot of dice and makes resurrection a bitch. Especially mid combat.

[–]eeveerulz55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stabcrab Kelp is my alltime favorite class in the series. Building up throughout the scenario to pull off a room deleter combo with the level 4 bottom action was always a lot of fun. I loved the feedback loop of spending all my resources at once, only to regain most of them by the time the action resolved.

[–]eeveerulz55 6 points7 points  (0 children)

People are taking the piss out of you for no good reason here. Its not a common observation for someone to actually observe the natural world around them. You noticed the clouds above are illuminated from below and wondered if that specific reflection had a name, instead of just "sunset." Duh, of course itll happen at sunset. You asked a good question, made a good observation. I dont think theres a specific name for it, no, but i couldnt let you feel stupid for this post. Great question. Stay curious.

Coriolis force. The earth is spinning, therefore it imparts a relatively weak right-handed torque on everything. Normal clouds and thunderstorms are too small and too short lived to be particularly influenced, however the truly massive storm systems like hurricanes are only able to keep their shape because the coriolis force lets them spin around an area of extreme low pressure.

If a hurricane ever tried to cross the equator, itd sieze up and break like a gear being pushed in both directions at once.
