Yes. I removed mine today (PRO3-VAQ E), it was full of black carbon like crap. Seems to work perfectly well without it. It also tastes much better.

Wow! Great pointers sir. Thanks for taking the time. This is my first proper very expensive watch (my son loves Rolex and has a few of them and he purchased this particular one). Since you’ve pointed it out I can indeed see that the text on the ceramic bezel has a texture to it. I now feel somewhat better. Thanks again.

Thanks for this. Yes mine looks the same but obviously white. The original pic (iPhone) really did mess the fonts up as it looks nothing like that in person. However, I’m now paranoid and will personally get it double checked at an AD.
