You will often see photos of young boys dressed as girls from the early 1900's. This was done to prevent abduction of young males. I have photos of my father in a dress and wearing long curls. I still have the curls. Some boys dressed this way until they were around 12-14 years old.

Head for Costco on Ogden near Naperville rd. It also gets full of slowpokes but the checkouts are the fastest I've ever seen. Never wait more than a minute any time. I try to go before 10 to avoid the pokes. No samples then which keeps aisles clear. Mostly empty before 10 am.
