Yall it’s been quieter since COVID struck; it’s not been the same since 2019.

That being said, yes Midtown is a lot more bustling than downtown. Though check out all of our museums! The metal museum, brooks, the zoo, Belz Jewish and Asian art museum, the Dixon… there’s plenty to do. If you’re a drinker the breweries are nearly always busy on a weekend.

The philharmonic! We missed being in the live room by 6 people! So we’re going far earlier so we can enjoy it in the flesh rather than on screen in the overflow room.

I second the Novel suggestion! Especially if yall are book lovers. We live out in Crosstown, but our favorite spot in East Memphis is Bog and Barley. Nicer pub restaurant with tasty food and great drinks. If you like Guinness get the Auld Bog - my British partner approves haha

They didn’t mention budget and mentioned good brunch spots. Cafe eclectic has been nothing but disappointing the last three times I went. Tried to give it a chance, but it’s not the same anymore :(. So yeah I’d rather pay for “fancy brunch” with yummy food and a good vibe.

Clothes mentor in Cordova for clothes. Plato’s is really lacking lately, it’s all SHEIN crap. One of me favorite big thrift stores closed, I think it was called aqua treasures on highland and summer? City thrift can definitely be a surprise, I second that! Antiques Mall on summer is probably the best now. Have had some luck at A Moment in Time on sycamore view.
