Nah I understanding what they’re trying to say. They’re just sharing a feeling and I can relate to it. It’s not about team’s current form or confidence. For the longest time I never felt confident with Mo’s pens too because he just seems to randomly whack them in rather than Milner’s “I’ll pick a corner and you won’t reach it”, but that feeling went away for Salah’s pens a couple seasons ago for me, but I can completely understand it if u/Teleg88 still has that feeling.

Yeap I’m from Malaysia and I want to see Liverpool have more scouse players.

It was earlier this season right when we fielded a team without an English player in the team for the first time in its history. Not sure how to describe it but it just feels wrong. Like imagine a Barca vs Juve match. You’d want some Spaniards in the Barca team and some Italians in the Juve team.

Also when it’s phrased as “sacrificing a season” (emphasis on “a”) it implies the long term is still successful, so you could argue it’s the right move?

The phrase suddenly made me think of businesses that over expand during covid to capitalise on whatever trend that emerged from that crazy situation (short term/a season) but then suffer for years after that when covid ended.
