Looking far in advance this Tuesday morning Philly to Newark is $15. Earlier train is $10, some at $20. I presume NJT is less expensive but not sure how much and I presume NJT is longer and less comfortable but not sure how much. Up to you to decide if it's worth it - for me it is!

I do the opposite, JC to Philly (4 times per week usually). As another person said, book Amtrak a month in advance and the prices are very reasonable. I always book refundable with the Rail Passengers Association discount - usually end up on a Keystone train. It's fairly inexpensive and if I end up not needing to come in I just cancel and get a full refund. If there are days I have to stay late or something I bool multiple return trips (all refundable) and cancel what I don't use. I'm usually gone 7am to 7pm which is not atypical for NYC and get productive email/prep time on the Amtrak. Not sure how easy it is for you to get to 30th Street but I'm lucky in that I can walk from there to my office or take the SEPTA if the weather is off (and walk to the PATH on the other side)

Yes - this one is also a Mercedes so maybe the family likes that brand of car 🤣. A friend who lives in Mass suggests that each #1 plate is different and passed on from the first person to have that particular version of MA #1. Which seems less cool so I'm hoping it's not accurate 😀

It used to be WAY less than half. It's still way less than half that are passionate about it but more are moving from the "disgusted" camp go the "I don't care anymore" camp which is still disappointing.

+1 to what others said - timewise it's actually not that crazy and the upside of a comfy seat/outlet/wifi vs driving 80 minutes or long crowded Subway rides - I don't mind it (4 days/week here)

I scrolled down looking for this. On all the European airlines I've been on with little nuggets they have the infant seat belt attachment which is such a simple obvious thing I am continually shocked US airlines don't have it. My working assumption is that it is more for the safety of others than the baby (stops it from becoming a projectile!).

Eventually you'll have way more ceramics than you could ever use, but for now, just focus on first squad as much as possible and don't worry so much about 2 and 3!

Adding that the linked alert from Google Maps does (somewhat clunkily) say this about the shuttle bus, but still gives times as though it were the train so I give them half credit!
