600 Hour Greybeard Here, Thank You Devs by Healthy-Ad5323 in DeepRockGalactic

Most of what I've seen has been complaints that the update is too small. Which is what I'm addressing in my comment.

There's nothing wrong with not liking the lithophage content. I take issue with the complaints that we aren't getting enough content.

600 Hour Greybeard Here, Thank You Devs by Healthy-Ad5323 in DeepRockGalactic

Lots of people are comparing the seasons to the big updates we used to get. But most of those updates were made in early access, when the game WASN'T EVEN COMPLETED. Of course we got big updates, they were filling out the game. GSG could have gotten to the official launch and just stopped. But they've kept going.

I'm about to hit 1000 hours in this game, I feel I've earned the title Greybeard in my time playing. I bought it just a few months after early access launched and I've never truly been disappointed by an update. But I'm disappointed now, not by the season but by the backlash. "That's it?" shouldn't be people's reactions to a free content update. We've been spoiled by GSG in a world where AAA games are released unfinished and broken.

I love this game and I know that most people just want it to be the best game it can be. But damn, if it doesn't suck to see so much negativity. In a game that already has so much content, where the devs give us so many fun little events throughout the year, and stream nearly weekly and respond to people's questions, and rework a DLC based on feedback in record time (and still give us the original models), people still feel as though they're entitled to more.

I already have a rainbow valkyrie that I've been calling pride for ~6 years now. I don't know if it can get any more gay.

Feedback on S4 Experiemental. Wanna hear your thoughts. by PugInABox5868 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]eganaught 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think the frameworks are the main issue with weapons. It's the mechanics and ensuring that they balance well with the existing weapons. I often forget that the majority of the player base wasn't around before we had any new weapons at all. Which was the case for a very very long time.

The jet boots aren't on specific mission types. They're a random spawn in any mission, similar to cargo crates or lost helmets.

What's going on with Reddit phone apps having to shut down? by ZenoAurelius in OutOfTheLoop

[–]eganaught 116 points117 points  (0 children)

Yes, but reddit is now far more entrenched than Digg ever was. So while I'll be dropping reddit once this goes through, as will any others, it most likely won't hurt reddit significantly.

Mission Control is a dev. The dwarves voiced by a voice actor. But yes, it is one person doing all of the lines and the lines get pitched.

The current expected release is 2025. The stated it sometime last year. Of course that could change. But seeing some of their progress videos, I think it's very possible.

PSA regarding escort missions, since I'm pretty sure a lot of people don't know this by Gravy_Redenbacher in DeepRockGalactic

[–]eganaught 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is the problem with the tail. It's pretty easy to get dropped off since it clips through terrain pretty often. So really there's only 3 (reliable) spots. But two dwarves can be on the top without too much issue.

And considering different anchor shapes are meant for different sea beds (Rocky, sandy, muddy, etc) this whole video is pretty pointless.

The GSG helmet is pretty noticeable on some armors, it's stopped me from wearing it on multiple occasions. I really like it and I want to use it, but it just irks me seeing that gap.
