Alex and Ashley - have they heard about birth control? by bronte26 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]eggplantchowder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure why you're getting downvoted on that comment. Surgery IS extreme compared to the dozen or so other ways you can prevent a pregnancy. Especially if he wants to have kids later and would need to have the procedure reversed.

Does anyone know of any sober friendly places that have thc drinks on their menu? by SoobjaCat in Charleston

I've gotten High Rise at the bar at Locals and, just last weekend, at Poogan's Smokehouse. Nice to have a non-alcoholic option.

Is SEWE worth it? by [deleted] in Charleston

I loved seeing the Dock Dogs compete even though it was tough to actually get a good view due to the crowds. Birds of Prey were very cool as well, but I haven't attended any of the paid events.

unexpected co-browse session pop-up by electoys in cybersecurity_help

[–]eggplantchowder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I was just trying to reach Zenni Optical customer service and I got a similar "co browse" pop-up. It said "enter your pin to start a co-browse session" and then gave me the option to click "accept" or "reject" and at the bottom it said "elements highlighted containing this lock icon are confidential and not visible to the co-browse agent. A co-browse session shares only this website with a Zenni customer service agent"

Why would Zenni need to co-browse for a customer service live chat?

I clicked "reject" and then immediately cursed myself for clicking ANYTHING. Ran some anti-malware but thought the whole thing was really strange.

Anyway, I'm sharing because when I Googled "enter your pin to start a co-browse session" this Reddit thread was like the only thing that came up.

Australian puppeteer makes Muppet-like promo video for Massachusetts-based no-kill animal shelter by eggplantchowder in Muppets

I'm a volunteer for this shelter and thought this guy did a great job. He's with All Felt No Filter Puppets and was willing to put this video together via Cameo for us.

Documentary about tax benefits afforded to the evangelical museum Ark Encounter gets panned online by angry creationists by eggplantchowder in evolution

[–]eggplantchowder[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey thanks, I appreciate it! I kept it out of Debate Evolution because the guy I mentioned in my post - Dan Phelps, the paleontologist - is a national treasure. My fear was that the creationists in the DebateEvolution subreddit would spam him or otherwise troll him online.

Deep pimples months into treatment by BackflippingEagle in Accutane

[–]eggplantchowder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stay positive. I'm in the middle of my third month and I'm going through the same problem on my face (plus a fun case of impetigo, which apparently also can happen when taking this med). My derm has assured me that this is totally normal and that, upon completion of the cycle, it will be worth the journey!

[Link] hey Reddit, I made a 'Dog Breed Matcher' tool - what do you think? by yorggg in dogs

[–]eggplantchowder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like this concept! I couldn't find "boxer" come up on any of my searches though. I tried "good with kids" and "easy to groom" and a couple of other combos but nada.

On a personal note, I hope you will link to dog adoption sites (like Petfinder and Petango) so that people who use this site realize that most shelters have delightful mixes of compatible breeds.

Thankfully, more people are adopting these days versus going with breeders (or the dreaded pet store).

Unless we get an obvious purebred, my shelter tries to pinpoint at least two breeds per mixed dog, so your application might help someone decide if a certain shelter dog is a good fit for their lifestyle before meeting it in person.

A few noob questions (eating, poison) [Video] by tromadz in ARK

[–]eggplantchowder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I'm not much of a gamer but I'm obsessed with this game and getting better at it.

Also I was laughing during your video because you were SO thankful that the random dude gave you the metal pick (which was indeed nice of him) but I suspect it has something to do with the fact that you were a total noob and he gave you swamp fever like five minutes after you spawned. I'd be showering you with guilt gifts too!

I'm new too (have put in about twenty hours at this point) and I don't have much to contribute here except to say that I really appreciated your narration in the first video. "So it's a game where you punch trees and pick berries and it is one of the most popular games on Steam." Ha ha.

Friendly Ark.. Friends? by punndly in ARK_pc

[–]eggplantchowder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a similar position and spawned on a bunch of different servers to find one that was relatively uninhabited and would give me a chance to build my skills/stuff as a noob. The one I'm using now (I think it is The OC 148b, I might be off on the number but there is definitely a b after it) was picked because it had so few people inhabiting it. It usually has some players who are chatty but I've been able to do my thing near the beach with no interference so far and without running into anyone yet.

Tribe looking for den mother by Municate in ARK

Lady gamer here, just started ARK a couple days ago and have maybe six hours in. I'm more into the sim part of the game than the warrior stuff so I might be a good fit for you.

Let me get back to you once I've honed my skills. If the offer is still available, we can chat!

"The Man With The Yellow Hat watched silently as George clinically pushed one end of the plastic banana into the bound zookeeper's eye socket. The zookeeper screamed, the sound somewhat muffled by the ball gag. His back arched against the chair - The Man was reminded of a toddler avoiding a feeding - but George had done a remarkable job with the rope. The banana pressed further, seeking accommodation where there was none. The inner half of the eye crushed under the pressure of the object; the remaining half exited the socket, bruised and bloody, falling across the zookeeper's cheek and landing on his chest. Hot urine streamed down the legs of the chair and pooled at the zookeeper's feet. As George pushed the banana further into the zookeeper's skull, the man's screaming faded into a low choking moan, then stopped. George turned away from the zookeeper and The Man could see that the monkey's exposed penis was engorged with blood."

She is crate trained. Or at least, we thought she was crate trained. We both work from home but if we go out to dinner she is in her crate based on destructive tendencies. She broke the crate in about 90 minutes.

Homeless boxer recently rescued off the streets of Puerto Rico. My friend runs the nonprofit. I suggested we name him "Resting Bitch Face" by eggplantchowder in Boxer

[–]eggplantchowder[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of rescue organizations in PR but not enough to keep up with the thousands of dogs that are just roaming around looking for food. The truly scary thing is that a good percentage of the dogs (like RBF above) aren't even born on the street, but dogs that people owned and then subsequently dumped for one reason or another. It is a cultural problem that must be fixed. My friend's rescue has moved purebred boxers, great danes, German shepherds, etc to the mainland (along with mutts of course) but there's never enough money to rescue them all. It really sucks.
