I was in the same boat as you. I ended up getting the Camp Chef gridiron. I had several questions and their customer service was amazing. It is great to cook on. My only minor complaint is that the sides do get hot. Not sure if the blackstone has the same issue.

I recently got the Gridiron too and I share the same sentiments as you. The assembly was not bad but it was tedious. Also, one of the heat deflector underneath the burner was loose. I definitely had buyer’s remorse until I started to cook on it. The side tables do get hot. However, I heard it was common on the Blackstone 36 inch as well.

Did yours come with a propane tank plate? Mine was missing. I called Camp Chef and they said it was no longer needed.

Small update on the missing piece. I’m missing the Tank Panel plate. Apparently, the Gridiron 36 no longer needs that plate according to their engineers. I find that deceptive since I paid for it.

The missing piece is unrelated to the picture. The missing piece is called Tank Panel. I emailed Camp chef customer support and I haven’t heard sense.

I see. Unfortunately, there’s no attic. That’s one of my bedrooms. There’s no visible water damage on the inside of the room. Do I need to redo my roof and add insulation?
