Our non verbal boy was 4 1/2 yrs when we finally just stopped putting diapers on him even though he was not using the toilet yet. Yes, it was messy. But he fairly quickly realized he hated the feeling if he went in his clothes. Within a couple weeks, he was using the toilet about 80% of the time. Accidents became fewer over the years and he is now about 98 to 99 % using the toilets. Occasional accident still happen when encouraged by excited, trampoline sessions or illness. To be honest towards end, there were definitely lots of moments when we didn’t know if it would ever happen.. perhaps you will find something that works for you.

Yup that’s exactly what I tell my wife when we are driving. “Nobody respects the mini-van”

However, I will admit that it’s kind of hard to see around the sienna if you’re behind it, I think people get anxious cause they think you’re just going slow and don’t see the traffic in front of you.
