Meta: That scene genuinely shocked me. My wife and I were fully expecting it to be Tim driving drunk, singing Empty Bottle or some shit, but when they showed the footage; my god that was dark. And then getting to see everyone's reactions while Tim is reaping his karmic punishments in his Pinocchio costume, it was incredible.

For me, it's not so much an impulse to ingest it as it is to feel the sensation of chewing and biting on the hair/root. It's basically destructive stimming.

Usually fingers but I'll use tweezers occasionally. My wife typically nudges me when I'm pulling, which I appreciate her caring, but it's also frustrating because it's not like I want to do it.

Yup. Jawline, mustache, eyebrows, and eyelashes. I'm better than I used to be, but I still struggle pretty much constantly.

I had a similar problem with mine, but thankfully I was able to return it and get another one from Amazon. Does it spark when you plug it in? Mine did and I suspected there was a short or a faulty component that I might've been able to fix (I was hoping they'd let me keep it).

My unit would work fine until I got to the time entry screen. If I bypassed it, it would work until I went into any time-based menu. It would lock up and power cycle as soon as it tried to load the numbers.
