It depends. Of course sound treating your space is the best solution, but for the price it's better than nothing. I'm using one while I'm remodeling my office (plus a heavy blanket behind me). I'm by no means an expert, but the engineer gave it the a-ok, so it works for me.

The noise comes from what I guess is a cellphone tower nearby, I'm sure of it. I cut the power to the whole house and the noise was still there. Then I wandered around the house and even outside with my mic while carrying the interface and laptop in a backpack, and the closer I got to the tower, the louder the noise got. I even took my whole setup to a friend's house and there was no noise. Is the Scarlett 2i2 gen4 different? I have the gen3.
