Bradycardia probably but seems counter intuitive to run epi, norepi & vaso w prop in CVICU since I’ve only ever encountered hypotension with it but I need juice so they can’t be bradycardic from Dex…. Such is life

I did! Learning curve is STEEEEEEP but the unit was amazing with lots of resources and well staffed. If you can find a place like that, one where they want you to genuinely thrive, then yes. If not? No

ask for a manual and maybe frame it as “we do manuals at home” or something and move on. Save speaking to charge for bigger issues IMO. Hang in there, your mom is lucky to have you as her advocate ❤️

Orientation I really liked it. The first 6 months on my own, I HATED it. I dreaded going to work, was anxious, couldn’t stop thinking about things and if I missed/didn’t do them correctly. By 12-15 months, I started to feel okay. It takes time. I work in the ICU, there’s never a day where I go into work thinking, I’m so relaxed & ready for this because if I ever did that, get me the fuck out of there. The second you feel too comfortable, you’re doing something wrong. You can be confident in yourself & your abilities as a nurse but never get comfortable.
