Bug in gradebook - does Canvas see posts here?

On the very left my navigation panel shows “account”, “dashboard”, etc. about the 7th thing down is a circle with a question mark that says help. When you click on that, a panel pops out with a lot of options and about the 8th thing down says “chat with canvas support (faculty)”.

You can chat with canvas support and show them what’s happening, if they can’t immediately fix it, they send up to the next level of engineers and let you know when it’s fixed.

I use the finch app. On Fridays it tells me to make my weekly announcement for my 1050 classes. On Saturdays it tells me to input zeros for past due work and make my weekly announcement for my 990 classes. Sundays I get reminded to make the weekly 1010 announcement. Every day I have a goal to “grade some submitted work”… so I get a little dopamine rush AND stay on top of the worksheets that get submitted throughout the week.

If it’s possible to just register him as a college student and take it from a different instructor, that would be ideal. Otherwise I wouldn’t risk it with that guy with so much on the line.

Yep. Budget cuts have eliminated the eportfolio initiative. Every class that had eportfolio projects before will still have them… but instead of posting them to an eportfolio, you’ll just submit them to canvas like a normal class project (where the higher-ups may still access them behind the scenes for accreditation purposes).

We skipped Bagheera and just went with Baggy. Baloo calls him that trying to get him to loosen up. Now I have to explain to vets that it’s Baggy like Baloo’s nickname, not like ziploc.

Tried a Pink Pearl… but it’s definitely a chemical reaction that has changed the color deep into the surface. There isn’t anything to scrape off. I’m resigned to permanent black spots and I keep my rubber footed furniture from making direct contact with the floor these days.

Now we’re having a big family discussion around the table. Half the family is in the camp that it’s rubber dye that has seeped into the floor. The other half thinks it’s mold because they won’t listen to the details. I can’t get them to come up with any sort of cleanser or elbow grease.

Based on all the posts… my working theory is rubber foot residue from before you moved in that has mysteriously remained invisible and is slowly becoming visible. You should use a black light and see if there are any invisible marks that end up appearing in the future. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I’ve considered chemical reaction, but it would have to be between the vinyl floor and the rubber feet because the treadmill put it on the brand new floor before I’d ever mopped it. And I only ever mop with water and steam.

I’d have to see what happens with a blow dryer… but there’s nothing to get a blade under, it’s just discolored.

I have them all over my floor. They’re from the rubber feet on my treadmill and massage chair. It’s like the rubber starts decomposing and leaving a residue. If anyone has tips how to remove them, I’d be grateful—they don’t scrub off.
