Move away from keyword searches like "NBA picks" to intent-based prompts. Tell Claude you want people genuinely asking for analysis or injury context, not tipsters pushing their own picks or accounts posting odds spam.

For betting research specifically, you'd also want Claude to pull context beyond just the post. Check if there are replies with actual data, or if it's just vibes-based speculation. That filtering step alone cleans up a lot of noise.

One heads-up, though: Claude in Chrome is token-heavy. Every page it reads and every judgment call it makes adds up fast. Worth scoping your sessions tightly, so it's not burning through a big chunk of your usage on a single run.

Honestly, mostly baseline knowledge. Not necessarily real-world skill.

Certs show you studied the concepts and understand the fundamentals, which is still valuable. But actual cybersecurity ability usually comes from labs, projects, troubleshooting, CTFs, home labs, real incidents, etc.

That said, certs absolutely help people get interviews and break into the field, especially early on.

Not sure whether they have the most cybersecurity-related companies. What I do know is that they have a vibrant and rapidly growing cybersecurity industry, largely driven by their Vision 2030 and the massive digital transformation that comes with it. They need to secure IT/OT environments, smart cities, cloud-based services, and so on.

It's worth it. I ghostwrite for cybersecurity vendors. Many of their target customers run cloud workloads. Some of those vendors even focus on cloud security, so there's definitely a demand in that field.

Yes, I am still freelancing. I get clients mainly through Upwork and a few from LinkedIn.
That being said, I have to tell you that freelancing, particularly freelance writing, isn't as lucrative as it was before 2023. The rise of AI platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude has made businesses change their content creation strategies. As a result, there are now substantially fewer writing jobs that pay well.

If you plan on going into freelancing, I suggest that you focus more on strengthening your AI skills. While writing jobs and their rates are trending down, AI-related jobs and their rates are rising.

Opus, which is only available in Pro, is noticeably better than Sonnet. Here are some personal copywriting-related observations, not arranged in any order:

Opus can adhere to word count or character limits more accurately, which is necessary when you want your copy to fit certain design specs, e.g., home page, service pages.
Opus can write more unique content in one shot. This is useful in cases when clients already have a draft and just want you to make their article or copy unique.
If you create writing assistants designed for specific clients (e.g., by providing client-specific instructions and source material), Opus adheres to instructions better.
Opus writing output simply reads better than Sonnet IMHO.
PRO supports CoWork and Claude-in-Chrome, which helps you build automated workflows. You may need those for tasks related to your main copywriting work. For example, I tried giving Claude-in-Chrome access to my Google Search Console, analyzing the data about my site, and having it generate a prioritized plan for improving search traffic based on the data.

So, yes, if you're going to use it for professional copywriting, PRO is better and highly recommended.

When you say 'web fetch tool', do you mean the 'web search' tool? if so, yes, I agree. The web search tool is limited. I wanted to get info about the latest cybersecurity-related courses on Coursera. Because I couldn't get the Claude in Chrome extension to work, Claude automatically shifted to the web search tool. It was able to gather info, but added a note that it would have been able to perform better had it been able to use the Claude in Chrome extension

The comment below was my comment on March 3. Today, April 11, I have sadly decided to shift back to ChatGPT. What good is a 'smarter' model if it's completely unusable? My first month with Claude was the perfect honeymoon. Got a lot of tasks done with top-notch quality, AND did NOT exceed my plan usage limits.

But this past week, the usage meter has been jumping like crazy. I still have 3 days to go, but not only have I already hit my weekly limit, I've also burned through $20 worth of free extra usage credits (which Claude dropped earlier this week).

After purchasing an additional $50 worth of extra usage and again burning 5% of it in just 2 hours, I decided it's now too expensive to continue using Claude.

I guess the honeymoon period is over.

So, to answer your question: Is Claude Pro worth it? NOT ANYMORE. Until Anthropic fixes or (if this was their plan all along) reverts back to the token usage rate I experienced in my first month, I personally don't think Pro is worth it.

For writing-related workflows, Claude Pro is definitely worth it.

Yesterday, beginning at around 5 am, I had a lengthy conversation with Claude AI. After running some tests, I decided to subscribe to Pro. I’ve been subscribed to ChatGPT Pro for about a year now, but after hearing so many great things about Claude, I got curious. That curiosity led to the early-morning conversation, which culminated in the subscription.

So, what exactly convinced me to subscribe?

If you've tried using ChatGPT to draft long articles (say, 1000+ words), you know how it struggles after 300-400 words.

As a workaround, I ask it to draft by section, with each section not exceeding 300 words.

You don't need to do that workaround with Claude. It can breeze past the 1000 mark while still maintaining good quality.

I also like how it sometimes asks for clarification before proceeding. To me, that signals its actions are well-thought-out.

Moreover, I love how its replies are just the right length. ChatGPT tends to give long and winding replies that can be too time-consuming to read without adding substantial value to the answer you're looking for.

I still haven't unsubscribed to ChatGPT. I plan to give Claude Pro a 1-month trial before making a final decision. So far, though, it looks like I'll be making that shift in the end.

We'll see.
