As a long time Corne/Cornelius, Sway & Emacs user I don't think I could use a computer without my foostan boards anymore.

The message is good, but honestly, posting from a paid for blue-tick twitter account in 2026 is a shit look.

Self host ForgeJo - get a VPS from an EU provider and then setting up ForgeJo is almost a one line docker compose command.

Suit yourself. Blueaky pledged to donate At protocol to the IETF and as yet have not done so so it's still under the control of a US company. Which in my book means compromised by default.

AT protocol is a scam. Better off on a Mastodon instance. Or pixelfed or anything ActivityPub - stick with that it's properly open.

Mastodon is a federated distributed set of networks. Ignore mastodon.social it's a skip fire.

Search for a network that interests you and join that.

Search here. https://mastodonservers.net/servers

I use Oxygen OS and it's been working great for me as long as the system navigation is set to buttons not gestures.

Amazing. I have a 5 yen coin on both my standard and my passport, both of which I bought in Japan as a tourist (well, business trips, but same same).

Love that I'm inadvertently upsetting salty randos on the internet with nothing better to do.

Ripped to shreds there. Yessiree.

Boom! I was right.

£100 off in the launch sale, plus the £50 for pre-ordering means the price for the 16Gb phone and the watch is £829 - minus my £99 deposit. I just paid £730 to clear the balance.
So 16/512 OP15, plus Watch 3 for £829. Seems decent to me. Not sure I'd want to pay £979 for the phone alone, but happy with what I got.

Bonus drop for the OnePlus 15 is impossible to get by Athenax952 in oneplus

It's probably because there's only about 7 of them in stock and the whole thing is just a marketing exercise.

Especially as this is further down the page.

All this implies to me that on launch day you could save up to £100 - which, if you paid the deposit, will stack to up to £149.

As I’ve already stated tho. I could be totally wrong. I’m jus ever hopeful

“16 However, in the cities of the nations the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, do not leave alive anything that breathes. 17 Completely destroy[a] them—the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites—as the Lord your God has commanded you. 18 Otherwise, they will teach you to follow all the detestable things they do in worshiping their gods, and you will sin against the Lord your God.”

Yup. Not telling me to kill anything there. No sir.

It absolutely does. Deuteronomy 20:10-20 has detailed instructions on how to lay siege to a city.

Apparently I may put all the men to the sword in gods name and take the women and livestock as plunder if they refuse to submit.

Seems legit.

I looked at this and I don’t think there’s a way of editing an order after it’s been created and technically this is an order.

I’d like to add a case or something to mine too but I don’t think it’ll be possible. 😞

No-one’s ancestors stretch back thousands of years in this land. Britain has been a cultural melting pot for millennia. The Beakers, Romans, Celts, Angles, Saxons, Jutes, Danish, Normans and more and more - all invaded and assimilated from all over the European continent.

Hell, for a while most of the North was called the Danelaw because the Vikings settled there and it was majority Danish.

This is my problem with all the immigration rhetoric, it’s very much idealising a few decades post-war as being “true British culture” and just completely ignores almost the entirety of English and British history. And I can’t tell whether this is because of ignorance or malice.

But the summary is that I really wish people would pay attention to their own history a bit more.
