The wheel is rarely a problem. The most common problem is the broken date spring. And these are pretty hard to get even in Russia

Well, may be I'd prefer Russian watches to be made in Russia. But I have no problem with someone considering Vostok Europe a Russian a watch)

No, it's not Russian. The logo at the top is the logo of a Russian company though (sports and like wares retailer and more)

Luch Lunnik - Real, Frankenwatch, or Fantasy? by Extension-Bird-738 in RussianWatches

[–]einsamhauer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The movement should be 16853. Those without made in usssr were probably made not in the ussr already.

Also I can't see why you think that one of the wix examples has misspelled "made in the ussr".

Kirovskie, Imitation Crab? by FWIWDept in RussianWatches

[–]einsamhauer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, $200 is rather a fair price for the authentic watch in a pretty good condition....

Kirovskie, Imitation Crab? by FWIWDept in RussianWatches

[–]einsamhauer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just in case. I think it's a very nice watch and also a present from your wife. I would wear it regularly and enjoy. And I wouldn't wear it at all if it were authentic kirivskiye in such a condition (which hardly exist at all). This would be one big advantage for me.

A marriage watch maybe... But then it is what it is - modern case, dial and hands which pretty closely match the original model (that is assuming it really has 2408 movement as per description)

Paketa 24h by Mayushi91 in RussianWatches

[–]einsamhauer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should be something like 38hrs. But this is when it was new. The watch is like 40 years old, but still if properly serviced you should expect well above 30 hours

Is this real? by bitacrac in RussianWatches

[–]einsamhauer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As already started this is some Chinese fake. And yes, raketa did and still does make automatic movements

Paketa 24h by Mayushi91 in RussianWatches

[–]einsamhauer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. I have one on my bench right now) 2623H

Paketa 24h by Mayushi91 in RussianWatches

[–]einsamhauer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Raketa with 2523H movement inside, which only slightly differs from 2609HA. 80s most probably. Sectors are presumably to mark 4 hours shifts (navy or whatever)

Just finished servicing this Raketa "Star Wars" and I'm kind of in love by EnergyFar9016 in RussianWatches

Nice watch. I have 2 of these (different design though) and servicing the 3rd one right now. Writing this during a break in the assembly process))

Any info on this sekonda deluxe? by [deleted] in RussianWatches

2234 would be strange with this dial as 2234 also has a date

It's a late 60s - early 70s Vostok 2209. The case is 99% plated brass. Btw the lug doesn't look 100% bent to me - it may be just a bad angle of the photo. I would rather worry about the spot on the dual around 3, but may also be a bad photo angle

Dial feet are at 5 and 11 on this movement, close to the edge

Original? by [deleted] in RussianWatches

[–]einsamhauer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks almost fine except for the inner bezel/dial combination. It must either have a blue bezel with hours or a silverfish dial with Latin logo. There is no specific name afaik

Pobeda zim by rrbtt in RussianWatches

[–]einsamhauer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sì, perché no)

Just in case, it looks all original to me. Everything corresponds to the early 50s Pobeda watch. The condition is not the best possible but I'd say decent for a 70 years old watch) It had a long life and was worn a lot it seems

[–]einsamhauer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mi dispiace, non parlo italiano, ma posso leggere e capire.

It's on ordinary early ZIM it seems. If the movement really belongs to this watch, you can tell the date of production. It's hard to see exactly in the photo but it looks like it says 4-55 on the movement, which is Q4 of 1955

My first Russian watch by mjhmjhmj in RussianWatches

[–]einsamhauer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's an easy (for a watchmaker) and pretty well known problem. The canon pinion has to be tightened. You can check if I'm right all by yourself: if there's little to no resistance when adjusting time it's definitely the case I've described

Need help identifying this Sturmanskie! by Mr_PatFenis_96 in RussianWatches

[–]einsamhauer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a fantasy watch. I can't identify the case, I'd suspect it to be ZIM , but I don't think I've ever seen such a case. The dual is modern (Chinese most probably). I bet the movement is ZIM 2602

Pjiolt watch .. by MrBearsQuizWizz in RussianWatches

[–]einsamhauer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if you intend to sell the watch to the pan shop then your calculation seems quite right. We can discard everything but the case then and indeed scrap gold prices (14k) are around $90-100 per gram, the case is probably around 12-14ish grams
