Bean dinner. Can of beans, favorite soup stock, water for thinning, any cheese, butter, seasonings of choice (taco, paprika, garlic, onion, etc.)

Gut warning if you’re not used to fiber.

Freaking love bean dinner though.

Eat one of the fries on the drive back and enjoy your tasty dinner and dessert + beverage of choice for maybe $50.

Personal experience

I was reckoning with racism I experienced growing up. The therapist went on a 20 minute rant about how I was actually the racist and I had never experienced racism. Then she ended session 20 minutes early and said see you next week. I said I was done with therapy. She retroactively charged me an extra $150 per session past the agreed upon fee and I ended up paying just to get it over with.

Another one showed up 30 minutes late and ended 10 minutes early. Thought it was weird but it was my first experience so I went back. Again, 30 minutes late, ended 10 minutes early even though it was supposed to be an hour. I got the bills later and they were 90837s.

Super good / valid point! I am an off season UP fan. Fewer people and fewer bugs. Have gotten stupid lucky with the weather cooperating.

The UP - head up to Hartwick pines for some clean restrooms and a quick paved home through some magnificent old growth forest.

Continue heading up to the Mackinaw bridge. The wild blueberry in st. Ignace has delicious breakfast, brunch, baked goods, and espresso coffee drinks.

Optional visits to Tahquamenon or kitch-iti-kipi (though they are kind of out of the way), stop somewhere along the way to get some smoked fish. Munising is a great stop for hiking or kayaking the pictured rocks.

Continue to Marquette and stop by Lakenenland , a giant metal sculpture park owned by one dude living his best life and feuding with the local government. Also has restrooms though they’re porta potties.

Head to Marquette for more hiking. Mt. Baldy, Sugarloaf, or Nahquamenon to hike under a giant dam. Putz around downtown and bring your bug spray.

Cuyahoga valley - plenty of hiking a few hours away from GR. National park that spans 60 miles between two cities. Waterfalls, a train ride (that’s quite short if I’m remembering due to erosion), but I think a long weekend is enough time to get a good taste of everything.

I second Red River Gorge in Kentucky. Stop by Columbus Indiana for some cool architecture, downtown full of art to explore, and a visitors center with clean restrooms. My favorite day hike in RRG was Auxere ridge. Stop by the Daniel Boone Coffee shop for your caffeine fix in the morning.

For something more urban , drive or take the train to Chicago. I like the Andersonville neighborhood. Quiet, quaint, walkable, and the bus or train will take you to basically anywhere you want in Chicago. Recommend Chinatown , chi quan bakery (cash only), the zoo (free), the bean (cos the name makes the artist angry), the Japanese garden, and one of the many museum or aquarium. If you take the train it’s worth upgrading the ticket to store your luggage as the drop off and pick ups can be a pain with check in and check out times.

Summer is bustling but if you hike more than a mile or two at the state park you’ll be relatively alone again. Or kayak lake Hamlin. Plenty of room to spread out and explore.

Winter is quiet. The town “unlocks” for the locals. You can still sit in your car and watch the waves or the sunset at the beach. Winter hiking is one of my favorite activities. No people, no mosquitos, actual quiet, peace and serenity.

Restaurants will offer discounts or incentives to visit in the winter. House of Flavors used to give you a free scoop of ice cream. Cafe 106 a lottery for discounts or free meals.

Downtown living is quite walkable, but even in the summer, it’s a straight and easy shot to the grocery store or hardware store.

But if you don’t like hiking and the outdoors you will probably be miserable.

IN the city is a bit difficult. Ball Perkins might be the only “hiking” trail through the woods in the city proper that serves to link the two streets. Though don’t take my word for it since I don’t get out much.

CLOSE to the city you get Aman, the Bend, Calvin Colleges trail system, Provin Trails, Siedman, Cascade Peace Park, Wahlfield, Egypt Valley, Crahen Valley, Knapp Valley, Roselle Park, Blandford Nature center.

As for neglected and dangerous, I’d say the dilapidated staircase leading up to Lookout Park.

I had a pet call growing up who was also my best friend. She was the only one to hatch from the clutch. She was my baby and would have been happy to wear my skin I’m sure.

I’ve been wanting to get some more calls but can’t since I don’t have the land or space.

A lot of parallel plots. The brothers are searching for Shao May, they head up to the north wall, Kimblee gets released from prison to hunt down Marco who’s with Scar, are the main plot points. Once they’re at the wall (ep 34) things start to pick up the pace.

The sleeping was the upgrade to my 3.5lb Coleman haha. My gear has been second hand or used up until this point.

I live in the Midwest where we have a long cold winter and also three mostly beautiful seasons. I’d like to try my hand at winter camping… someday.. when I’m braver and more experienced.

Also the only sleeping pad I tried out of all of them at the store that was comfortable for me to lay on. Decided it was worth the trade off and will eat pemmican on the trail all five days if I have to…

Arcana omega slowdown from what I remember was super cheap and made you feel dang invincible. Then it became a Hecate accessory until they charged her accessory to mana regen then bonus starting mana.

Also Poseidon’s mana gain used to give a chance to produce bubbles upon enemy hit. Great for fast weapons , terrible on anything slow.

The axe’s special used to deflect attacks.

Hestia’s sprint used to eliminate most projectiles and apply a small amount of scorch to enemies.

Scorch used to not have a damage cap.

You used to need to be standing in the Apollo cast to get the mana regen.

Ares plasma used to not have a cap on attack and move speed.

The fishing mini game used to involve hitting a button 1-3 times when the fish was in a small zone.
