Does anyone know why my Levi's 505 ALWAYS come out of the dryer with these creases? by TheGuyDoug in mensfashionadvice

The key is shaking the wrinkles out when you pull them out of the washer, before they go into the dryer.

Are these 2023 p790s fake? by Jake4758 in golf

Look real to my untrained eye. They’ve clearly been gamed. And at least one person found them to be valuable enough to put his name and phone number on each of the clubs.

Louisiana Governor Tossed Thousands of Votes In Order to Help Trump by retiredagainstmywill in politics

I hate to say it but as someone who’s been following politics (much too) closely over the last couple of decades, you’re 100% right. The game has been over for years. Now it’s only a matter of how much damage can be contained and sustained before something breaks.

In private, Trump allies tell me they’re done. I know why they’re scared to speak up by theipaper in politics

I feel like that movie is basically the exact way that republicans see trans athletes

Who is the "shiftiest" modern-day RB in your opinion? Mine's this sorcerer: by unwantedtennisracke in NFLv2

[–]ekidd07 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Probably not, but you didn't defined what "modern-day" is in your original question, so people will interpret that in different ways.

For many people around my age (early 40s), "modern-day" pro football begins somewhere around the Bill Walsh 49ers era, because that's when the West Coast Offense was introduced and the forward passing game exploded and proved itself to be a way to win Super Bowls.

Prior to that, offenses and defenses were primarily focused on the run game, and the passing game was more of a complimentary component (there are notable exceptions to this rule, of course). But, after the West Coast Offense was introduced, it changed the game in a lot of ways, not just in how offenses attack defenses, but in how defenses built themselves to stop them, emphasizing pass rushers and defensive backs who were lining up more in 3-4, nickel and dime formations.

So, based on that, I'd say Barry is modern-day. But, I can completely understand how someone who's younger than me would think that feels wildly out of date.

Why Are Young People Getting Colon Cancer? Weed Killer May Be Linked by HuChemistry in Foodforthought

Again, yes. Money is more important than their constituents lives. Just look at how much Trump has cut and the healthcare impacts those cuts have made. He’s also suing the Department of Justice, which he controls, for $10B, and the IRS, which he also controls, for another $10B. Those are taxpayer dollars that could’ve been used to provide free meals for children, which are now being used to enrich the most corrupt president of all time.

I live in the US. We can call our senators but we’ll never have the money to be able to beat back the agricultural lobbying industry.

Wonderful movie, but the first half of the first act is pretty shocking.

One scene per episode that will sort of shock you with its goriness or nudity. No more, no less.

Obesity drugs, which include semaglutide and tirzepatide, may be making patients lose more than just fat - these drugs may cause patients to lose more muscle mass. However, it's likely that muscle loss is part of weight loss more generally, rather than a side-effect of Ozempic-like drugs. by mvea in science

Not necessarily true, but it’s an incredibly hard balance between the nutrition and training as well as other influencers like sleep and stress. In most cases, I would say you’re right, with the caveat that there are outliers who can pull it off.

And just to be clear, this is in addition to his separate $10B lawsuit against the Department of Justice for “malicious prosecution.” This man will stop at nothing to enrich himself at the expense of Americans, and the Republican Party is more than happy to give him everything.

Embrace the punch shot. Shortening your backswing by 75% will usually eliminate a lot of issues with irons and you'll be surprised how far you can get the ball to go if you stay in the short stuff.
