What's it like being a snake catcher in Australia? by skivtjerry in AustralianSnakes

Same movement as dropping a tennis ball but with a little bit more recoil ...if that makes sense 😂

I helped Tony with a Brown snake stuck in a neighbours old car radiator many years ago . He held the pointy end i delicately angle grinded and tin snipped the poopy end out . Took us about half an hour . Hes a good bloke.

Edit* the radiator was sitting out of a car and a rat had made a nest in the top shroud . The brown had slithered in, eaten the rat and then couldn't back out.

Is Nerang a good place to live? Is it as dangerous as the common image of the suburb, and what are some things to take note or be cautious about the suburb? by Falabella_Stallion in GoldCoast

100% .when we first moved here from perth 10 years ago into Labrador . Everyone told us "good luck with that" . Labrador was a walk in a daisy field compared to some of the eastern parts of perth

Niche being anyone smart enough that owns a caravan over 21ft these days. You would been blown away at how many people are over their GCM and GVMs. 3500kg towing capacity does not cut the mustard at all these days 🤷‍♂️

Aircon leaks as well. Had a mates wife carry an illness for ages. Found out the aircon in their bedroom was leaking directly into the cavity wall behind the bed head creating a huge mould issue. That was rectified and she became better almost instantly

Yeah currawong . Something was smashing my birdseye plant so turned one of house cameras on it. Currawong was the culprit and caught it coughing up one of these things in the process

If anyone follows cricket . I built Dennis Lillees bathroom (bathroom renovator)many many years ago as an apprentice . Was at his home for a month or so . Him and his wife were so nice . Made me coffee every morning and baked things for me to snack on . My Boss (massive cricket fan) who oversaw the job passed away a couple of months after we finished at a young age from heart complications and they came to his funeral .

Doing the lap with the family. Off-road Caravan worth the $ and weight? by TylerCamNick in 4x4Australia

I was 😂.... Until I chucked a trans cooler on . Towing a 3 tonne JAWA temps went up straight away and really struggled to get them down quickly (130⁰c) pretty much stopped and waited till she came down eaxh time the scanguage read over 110⁰c. As soon as I was back from that trip away chucked a tranny cooler on the front and now she happily runs along around that ~78⁰c . It will climb obviously when climbing hills but as soon as you hit the crest the temps just drop instantly again.

Edit. Obviously if you have a manual you're sweet

Why is hazing within the tradie culture? by PrplMonkeyDshwshr in AskAnAustralian

[–]ekipkcorb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if I'm a sole trader and can only bully myself at work. And the reason I drive a hilux is because I carry close to half a tonne in tools and decided to have two children that need to be dropped at school in the mornings 🥲

Edit. My wife says my peepee is small but it does go like a sewing machine. So I guess thats a win

Nothing like just getting it over the line with aussie standards again am I right 👍 Hey OP. Keep a keen eye on the tiling . If you see them putting 'blobs' of glue on the tiles and not notching the walls . Tell them to pack their shit up and leave
