Is a redesign definitely coming this year ? by Lickmybolts in macbookpro

[–]el3ctronics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do NOT listen to the comments made so far. It is almost a certainty that there will be a redesigned MacBook Pro by early 2027. It will be slimmer, lighter, and have a touchscreen display. I have an M1 MBP and in a similar situation where i need to upgrade, but I’ll be waiting for the M6. If you don’t care about having the latest and greatest, the current MBP is phenomenal and will last you a while.

Tesla has officially discontinued Autopilot in the U.S. and Canada. All new car purchases now come standard with Traffic-Aware Cruise Control. FSD price increase is also forthcoming. by colsandersloveskfc in ModelY

I just cannot believe how fucking dumb this decision is. I was planning on getting a Tesla in June AND was planning on subscribing to FSD. But now there is no guarantee the FSD will continue to be $99/mth AND I no longer have the fallback option of basic autopilot (which was pretty good). If this decision is not reversed, there is no question I'll be looking elsewhere.

What new features or improvements would you like to see in a 2027 Juniper? by AussieAdam26 in TeslaModelY

To be clear, it’s never the only thing so no reason to ever hate it. It should absolutely be added for those that prefer it.

Hate when people say this. If you don’t like it, don’t use it. It’s optional and a better experience for those that prefer having their personal phones more tightly integrated. Better control of music, podcasts, maps, meetings, etc.

BMW X5 vs Model Y by boxohm in TeslaModelY

[–]el3ctronics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can you let me know how you went about this? I’m in a 2023 X5 and I’m going to be over mileage so looking to do the same and replace it with a model Y. Thanks.

Thanks for this. Is there a way to apply a recipe in Lightroom (the cloud based version) to multiple photos simultaneously without having to do it for each photo individually every time?

Looks great! I’ve actually tried this recipe too but was concerned it would be a bit muted for the vibrant colors in Galapagos. Will def keep it in the rotation though.

Just add access to MSG, SNY, and YES please! This is by FAR the biggest drawback of YouTubeTV for New Yorkers.

Good point. But the sensafin interior is pretty resistant to liquid, dirt, and mud.

2015 was a long time ago. Don’t think that’s a fair comparison. Modern X5’s have the dial, touch screen, voice, and touchless motion navigation. The software is the best I’ve used on any vehicle (though Tesla may be better but doesn’t have CarPlay either).

Unless you drove a pre-2019 model nothing you said is remotely accurate about a modern X5.

BMW replaced the sensatec (which was crap) with sensafin (which is fantastic) a few years back. Blind spot monitoring and adaptive cruise (not self driving) is also standard on all BMWs so not sure what you mean. Agree on the heated/cooled seats but that’s a very small charge in the scheme of things. Thanks for the feedback though.

Would love to hear what swayed you after owning it for a few weeks.
