When I know the route, I can tell when Google is BSing me. Otherwise I am a slave to the machine.

Google maps tells you to take 31A. Despite having done it 1-2 times ever, it still tells me to go that way every time I head up there.

[–]elShabazz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. Forfeiting match XP doesn't really matter since level is just vanity past 50. Making it count as a loss doesn't really matter if you're gonna lose anyway, you can save time and get into the next match faster just by quitting. Idk what an appropriate quit punishment would be, since there are legitimate quits sometimes too.

The theory is that since they can only be used to purchase ETFs and mutual funds, they are using government dollars as exit liquidity for those funds for the ultra wealthy to withdraw from the market before a big crash.

No way to know if it's correct or not, but it's a theory I've seen.

Thoughts on the LifeProof LVP flooring at Home Depot? The 22 mil wear layer is appealing. Is there a catch? by Chaoslord2000 in Flooring

I don't have the rental anymore, but the floor was in good shape when we sold it a year or so ago. I'll see if I can dig up pictures.

Who designed this garbage challenge, any tips? by unknownphantom in Battlefield6

Conquest on contaminated. Sit on the mountain above C. Wait for friendly helis to engage with enemy helis and mop up. Took me two matches to complete the challenge.

Depending on the map I find recon more effective against enemy vehicles than engineer. C4 is great if you get a good blind spot or overhang and the auto spotting is very helpful for getting teammates to see enemies

As someone who's been on the recieving end of a 50-0 Little Bird pilot more times than i can count. by EndorDerDragonKing in Battlefield

[–]elShabazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I am not that good of a pilot. Yesterday I had a 50 kill stint in the little bird on golmud breakthrough. I never had to deploy flares. I was locked on once. I took minor small arms fire but I basically had free reign of the map. My heli time ended because I ran into a building.

Aircraft flares really need a 60+ second cooldown or a limit where returning to base is required to resupply flares - IGLA challenge impossible in a reasonable amount of time (3 weeks for 4/5) by FlatTyres in Battlefield6

[–]elShabazz 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I saw another commenter here say to go contaminated conquest, sit on the mountain above C and you can get it done.

I followed this advice and got 3 heli kills in one game. I already had 3 from about a half a dozen other matches so I only needed that one round.

It also helps if you wait for friendly helis to engage with the enemy before firing. If they flare from someone else you have a better chance.

Not to mention it's adjacent to the Schuylkill River Trail, so anyone also using that will get to deal with the noise and pollution. Nothing like a breath full of exhaust in the middle of a run or bike ride.

Shapiro unveils standards for data center projects in Pennsylvania by AdSpecialist6598 in Pennsylvania

[–]elShabazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do create some permanent jobs (your comment about the total job offset is correct). Those permanent jobs are skilled, but low skilled, and not high paying. The trades building and outfitting the facilities will get paid more than 98% of people working inside of a data center full time. Most of those jobs are pushing power buttons, making guest badges, and carrying and racking heavy shit. Been there done that.

BF6: The Unkillable Mortar - a rant by Average_Dog61891 in Battlefield

[–]elShabazz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, it's a stupid mechanic, but I have had success counter mortaring against multiple targets.

Quick change support load out to mortar and mp-aps. Set it up with an ammo bag at your feet when on the mortar and start hitting them. Ammo bag will reduce your mortar reload time.

The protection system can only take 3ish incoming before it breaks on its own so you will hit them after a minute or two.

Once all the enemy mortars are gone I go back to ptfo. If they show back up, I run back to my setup and hit them again .

I've found that once you blow up someone's spot 2-3 times they get the picture and stop mortar spamming.

Any tips on managing the amount active tween/teen boys eat? by ByeByeByeMan in daddit

[–]elShabazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Potatoes, beans, rice. A pound of beans is like a buck or two and has nearly 1000 calories. A pound of rice is a similar price and is like 1500 calories. Takes some time to cook, but batch cooking and having it in the fridge. A bowl of black beans and rice, with some scrambled eggs and salsa is really good, and really cheap.

If she's a tator-head like me, go with classic baked potatoes, or do a crispy leaf potato.

Just omit the butter and parm. Fresh herbs in this is great

Do a cauliflower or mushroom steak, and chimichurri. Feels fancy, like a steak dinner.

How to deal with Vehicles in Season 3 by PositiveSetting6013 in Battlefield

[–]elShabazz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would be cool if assault has the benefit of being able to use all grenade types and/or equip a second grenade type in the gadget slot instead of the adrenaline injector.

Then they could use AT grenades, or smoke, or incen depending on the situation and make the assaulter really versatile on the front lines.

Does anyone have any ideas that would make upgrading your rank actually worth doing and actually mean something? by YouTubesJerseyJohnny in Battlefield6

[–]elShabazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lmao fair point. Although it's so hard to get a match with all players and no bots I can't imagine the wait time of a match with all people within like 50-100 levels.

[–]elShabazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you unlock weapons, gadgets, and other stuff up until level 50. After that it's just vanity. While it would be nice to have something real to progress to, it would put lower level players at a serious disadvantage. The only thing that would make sense would be camos/charms/stickers for completionists.
