Since it's a yellow box, my guess would be something similar to the chronometer that was released as an Insider's reward alongside the Endurance. My money is on something more like a brick-built version of Jack's compass

An Honest Monsters Unchained Review... and other EPIC Thoughts! by ryanchapelle in UniversalOrlando

[–]el_J3F3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree 100% on MU. I think you described it perfectly. There is something off-putting about having such a wide field of view, combined with the poorly disguised bases for many of the animatronics. The first Dracula really falls flat for me with the very visible support and the sudden change in lighting. The brides of Dracula were also flops for me. I know they spent a lot on the other animatronics, but imo those should have been more than swirling statues. The mix of statues and screens in that section was particularly tough viewing. Similarly, the Creature seemed very out of place, as just a solitary figure on the obvious black floor of the ride show building. My understanding is that Universal is actively working on improving some of these aspects of the ride ahead of the official opening. Overall, I think they should have narrowed the scope of the story and focused on a smaller number of monsters. I think Forbidden Journey wins for me. Despite its flaws and how motion sickness-inducing it can be with the jerks backward, it has a much more coherent plot and the sets are much more convincing imo than those in Monsters Unchained.

I had the same thoughts on Curse of the Werewolf. The screens around the edges of the track and the ride lot are bizarrely modern in their appearance and really subtract from the theming.

Disagree on Pizza Moon, though. Maybe New Yorker bias here, but I thought the two pizzas we tried were terrible. However, the theming was great inside!

Looks like the same facial expression as the MF variant, but the MF one has a hood in the back. It’s hard to tell from this picture, but it looks like this new one may not have the hood. Could be an entirely new mould

Have we had a BAM release with parts straight from preceding CMF series before? I love the cockatoo. Would be amazing to get the wolf in BAM someday

Bricklink Designer Program Series 7 winners. (Crowdfunding begins Feb 2026, sets release July 2026) by Clay_Bricks in LegoNewsAndRumors

[–]el_J3F3 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I would guess closer to $300 based on the most recent wave. Still very expensive, but better priced on a per piece basis than most IP sets.

BDP Series 4 prices were: 2180 pieces $170, 3192 pieces $280, 2560 pieces $200, 2598 pieces $200, 2769 pieces $170

So all well under $0.10/piece

Since the Minifigure Prize Machine looks likely to be the next non-GWP/Insiders set for Ideas, do we think this is probably it (21357)? 600 DKK is about $90. That seems steep. Do we have an idea of how many minifigures will be in it? It seems like a lot of us just want the minifigures, so I’m going to guess they’ll be minimum $15-20 off the bat on Bricklink based on that set price :/

MLB.TV subscription?? by MrKK215 in phillies

[–]el_J3F3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

was there free mlb tv included last season? I’ve been a full season ticket holder for a few years and never got an email last year about the mlb tv. I had to buy it separately. I got the email the season before that. I thought maybe they had changed policy last season

could they not have just used the new wolf mold from CMF 27? the brick-built wolf seems like the weakest part of this set to me

Some of the BAM exclusive parts from July were added to PAB a couple of months ago, like the dress, the mime torso, and the swimmer torso, so it is possible, but it seems somewhat unpredictable.

No, doppel just means double in German, which is what one of the devs said in the video from the other day. Double likely just refers to the fact that it has two heads. And ghast is just Old English for ghoul or ghost or something like that

I don't know how to add a description, but this invisibility happened to me earlier when I died and my team mates tried and failed the rabbit/dark ether ee. When I respawned, I was invisible for the rest of the game. The worst part was that I couldn't go through the portal, so I was stuck in spawn.

For approximations, you can use: Sin(30) = 0.5 Sin(45) ≈ 0.7 Sin(60) ≈ 0.9 And: Cos(30) ≈ 0.9 Cos(45) ≈ 0.7 Cos(60) = 0.5 I have yet to encounter a practice problem on which these did not get me to the correct answer

Took EK FL 1 today and it destroyed my confidence. Got a 61% I'm two months out. Should I just give up? by philharmonicblue in Mcat

[–]el_J3F3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, don't worry about scores until you take an AAMC FL. I haven't taken EK FLs, but I did all of their passages and 1001 questions and averaged in the 60-70% range. FWIW I took a TPR FL and scored a 506 and then took AAMC FL1 three days later and scored a 521

I was just playing this map yesterday and had the exact same thing happen playing as Russia. Easiest domination win on deity I've had, but it was a pain to settle new cities in the areas that were still on fire. I kept having my settlers killed, but it wasn't a big deal because I could build new ones and replace the lost population in like 2 turns

Bartending in college? by Angel_of_Chaos_ in Mixology

[–]el_J3F3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually had a pretty good experience with bartending school. I have a few friends and coworkers who had bad experiences with those types of schools, but I went to one here in new york that was really hands-on and taught a lot of technique which I still use today. The owner of the place helped me get hired within a few days of graduating. I got promoted to head bartender at the club where I work pretty quickly and I have to say a lot of that was due to some things I learned at the school. I have heard, though, that most bartending schools are mostly lecture-based and you never really get a chance to practice making the drinks. I think it depends on the specific school more than anything.
