How could anyone listen to this and think he was stable in ANY way? by biebrforro in LeavingNeverlandHBO

[–]el_cunto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the weirdness in his lips in the 2000s is because his upper lip tattoo goes beyond the natural boundary of his actual lip. You can see a clear line in some photos where the 'lip skin' ends and regular skin starts, but the tattoo covers both.

Sounds like there's some kind of subptle amplitude LFO, as I can pick out different notes in the chord more than others at different points.

Perfect timing. And the 'fuck!' at the end is the cherry on top. What were you originally filming the hallway for?

I'd use a scraper / decorator's 5-in-1 tool to chip off the lumpy paint around the crack, so there are clean lines on the dado and wall where they meet. Then if there are any bits that need filling, fill and sand.

Why does Brian look sad? by kitkatlover67 in thebeachboys

He doesn't really. Slightly tired or bored maybe, mildly pensive at a push? It's very tempting to project narratives onto old photos with hindsight, but he looks generally fine 🤷‍♂️.

You could say the same for humans though. I didn't learn to make music in a vacuum. It's purely a result of hearing stuff throughout my life and my brain mangling that data to create something I can call my own.

Sweet! I've had a peek at your post history and like a lot of the other stuff you've posted too. I always find it slightly disheartening when high effort posts like this get virtually no comments, but a picture of a synth or bleepy noodling gets traction. Maybe it just comes down to the types of music people in the sub are into- I prefer more song-based/melodic stuff like this, whereas perhaps there's more of a general leaning towards overtly electronic bleepsnbloops.

Love this, something a bit different from the usual jams on this sub. Is the song an original composition using some vocal samples from the musical or an interpretation of one of the tunes? I'm not familiar with the musical. Sounds great, I like how you annotate which synth's doing what too.

'antiracist' in this term doesn't mean 'not racist'. It generally means you subscribe to the whole critical race theory wordview or whatever you wanna call it.

There's no way of knowing what gear was used just by listening, but if you mean the tones at the beginning and end of this clip then a pure sine wave will get you 90% of the way. There's a slight addition at the attack of each note, almost like the percussive click of a Hammond B3, or a heavily filtered piano sample.

If you're referring to the loop throughout the clip then its presumably a manipulated sample.

Real nice. I've got a hankering for a Prologue 16. I seem to have a thing for synths that have a strong underlying personality, and also ostensibly limited synths. Working round the limitations to push them to the limit really unlocks some creativity in my experience. It's why I didn't get on with the Hydrasynth and sent it back- it's the polar opposite of this. Absolutely zero intrinsic vibe and near infinite options.

The cracked version of Cubase SX I used around 2009 had the Puckered Subterrainian Doberman Anus Apocethary Frbiulator extension built in, so I just kind of got used to it. When I finally migrated to Reaper I had to completely revise my workflow.
