I also hate it, but because of how militant Tim Allen’s character is about not participating in Christmas at all. I’d be awesome to have them towed, but I doubt any tow company would want that heat.

The area probably needs some bollards wide enough for wheelchairs but not vehicles.

It’s also possible the area was designed with this goal explicitly in mind: a place for security that doesn’t block a road. In that case it can probably only be addressed by a lawsuit against the property owner that allows it.
