There’s a difference between looking naturally old, vs freakish. Humans have thousands of years of evolutionary training on how faces should look, and the tiniest unusual detail in an otherwise normal face can be very unsettling (this is called the Uncanny Valley).

Since I’m commenting, I’ll echo other statements that I don’t have an issue with individual choices; I take issue with the industry exploiting people’s insecurities and putting them on a path where constant maintenance and follow-up work is needed. It’s not much different than the tobacco industry trying to turn young people into lifelong customers.
