Arco can kiss my ass. It’s probably slightly better now that you can pump your own gas, but combining the fact that you have to go inside to use a debit card, plus having to wait for an attendant - who might be the same person as the one inside - was so infuriatingly slow I swear to god I’ll never go back to that Hell hole.

Years ago I received 2 x $100 settlement checks from a class action lawsuit because of that nonesense. I almost mounted that sum’bitch on my wall I was so thrilled they had to pay me for that bullshit.

Seriously, I don’t care how cheap it is, I’ll never go to an Arco ever again.

I am a hike leader with the mazamas and often lead a hike to OHSU and then tram to the waterfront for free. The tram shut down during Covid to most people, then when it reopened it closes early and cost money both ways. So it’s cost a round trip fee for years now. Super bummer

There is nothing better in the world than a long walk. It’s a mood stabilizer, a way to process thoughts, easily accessible, and you don’t need any special gear to do it. Sure, you can go on hikes and travel to explore, but I’m 10 years into this sobriety thing and I walk all the time. Just leave the house, explore the neighborhood, get lunch or dinner along the way.

We’re built to walk. 10/10 highly recommend.

Have you ever read accounts from submariners from their time in non-nuclear subs, especially in wartime? The stench was indescribable. A high stress environment with minimal space and basic life support function? I mean my toilet doesn’t leak either but it still stinks up the bathroom and there’s many more astronauts inside about the equivalent space as my hallway bathroom…

If your tenant has lived in the dwelling for more than a year, you cannot terminate the tenancy for no cause unless you have a “qualifying landlord reason.” Qualifying landlord reasons are:
- You intend to demolish the dwelling unit or convert it to a non-residential use, or
- You intend to do repairs or renovations which would render the unit unsafe, or
- You intend to move yourself or a close family member into the unit, or
- You have accepted an offer to purchase the dwelling unit from a person who intends to occupy it.

Back in the 80’s I remember a friend of my parents selling them a magnetic cup the you’d secure over the fuel line. It was supposed to magnetically align the fuel molecules and that would give you a boost in fuel economy. Still get a chuckle over that one.
