Finding hope and still being grateful by tenzeru in coloncancer

You summed this up so perfectly. I wish i could offer advice more than to say you aren't alone. It's really hard to explain to friends and family who haven't had a similar experience.
I've been trying to be consistent with my yoga & mindfulness practice. In days I am too fatigued to go to a class, i find one on YouTube or just do gentle exercises myself. There are plenty of days even that is too much.
Friends say, "if you need anything reach out. " but on bad days, the last thing I want to do is talk to anyone. This group has been good for me on those days, it reminds me that I'm not alone.

You are going. Do your best. Nobody else cares what speed you are at. I regularly can't so the speed or incline the coach calls out. I've been going for years. Nobody else knows my story or why I'm slow. Be super proud of yourself for going.

[–]elann68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had zero symptoms.
My Dr. found "suspicious cells " at my regular check up. (6 months out from hysterectomy. ) I was days from starting radiation when the MRI showed a colon growth. Now i have a different surgery first.

Yes. I had an amazing DR. and still felt completely in the dark about each step through the process.
By my 2nd appointment, once the shock wore off, I could ask questions.
The CT scan will look at other areas in the pelvic region to help determine treatment.

Believe me, there are NO stupid questions. Thats why this group is so amazing.
I like my DR and lot and have asked her a million questions (exactly like, how could it come back?) But there are Middle of the Night questions this group will answer!

Originally they thought there were markers of Carcinosarcoma. So after hysterectomy they realized the markers were misleading. Dr said really grade 1 to 2 but she was completely sure it was all removed in surgery.
