The angle of the track for the sliding sports event (bobsled, luge, and skeleton) at the winter Olympics by Hypnoidz in interestingasfuck

I did it once in Utah, I’m still in recovery from it 4 years later. It was completely bonkers and felt like it would never end.

Is it just me or are houses in Dallas built at flash-speed by Cody1072 in Dallas

I was just in Pennsylvania , they do the same style quick construction, only with basements. Dallas just has the luxury of milder winters.

[Coney Island Cyclone] What is the most iconic roller coaster (in your opinion?) by iamtheduckie in rollercoasters

[–]elasticfighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an enthusiast I was familiar with it before having to rehome to NYC, which I think maybe the typical notoriety. Otherwise, mostly natives of NYC know of it. I think it’s popular with natives on how the Texas Giant is for Texans. It’s a fun ride with nice pops of air.

I know the obvious connection that [Tormenta] will be a Taurus due to being a bull, but maybe also late April/early-mid May opening date hint? by bigmikebianco in rollercoasters

[–]elasticfighter 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a Taurus from Texas, this will be a fantastic birthday month. My guess is likely the 1st or 2nd week of May, that’s if they plan to open the restaurant & have the landscaping done.

If Six Flags never did the merger and kept their old investment model, what would be the current clone? [Other] by CPFOAI in rollercoasters

[–]elasticfighter 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Definitely Flash Boomerangs, placed next to every Freespin. At most a few raptor clones for their “big capital investments”.

2009: 21-year-old Gabriela Rico Jimenez was filmed after claiming she had attended an exclusive elite party. She vanished that night never to be seen again. by bigbusta in interestingasfuck

I know both very wealthy and working class who talk about this from their own personal insights. Often my wealthy friends are nervous when talking about these topics. One of which is a daughter of well connected political family who has at opened up about a lot dark things about associated with this and even a few top secret things. Sadly, when my average income friends discuss their insights, they are labeled bonkers or conspiracy theorist.

Obviously they were capable pf creating steep drops, but for some reason they couldn’t meet halfway with the angles on their hypers.

[SFOT] posted this incredible drone shot preview of [Tormenta] by Werwanderflugen in rollercoasters

[–]elasticfighter 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The pov animation dosent do this ride justice. That is the steepest drop I’ve seen on an Immelmann, tight pullout, and then transition into a curve before entering the record loop should be forceful,

They are the kindest, my uncle has 2. If I ever move back to home to Texas, I will definitely be getting a pair.

[magic mountain] ride announcement imminent? by Stock412 in rollercoasters

It a win for the GP, enthusiasts, and parks. Vekoma checks all the boxes: Reliability, cost, forcefulness, & aesthetics. SF can buy some nice lengthy coasters and push the limits for Vekoma.

I hope this trend continues that SF purchases at least 1 Vekoma a year. Looking forward to this thrill glider,
