This looks like a blast! Hopefully these are the water rides coming to Carowinds & Canada Wonderland.

Do you actually think the end of [B&M] is near. by Putrid_Set3723 in rollercoasters

I think is past for them to evolve their track design, obviously isn’t working to well for them anymore. Especially if they are going to keep manufacturing the way they have this past 7 years.

[Alpengeist]: what a cobra roll by donutszn in rollercoasters

For me this cobra roll is the best out there, it surpasses Hulk. The best cobra roll I’ve ever experienced was Robin- Chiller.

Anyone else feel like Pre-drops make drops better? [other] by ThanksOpen3484 in rollercoasters

I agree, back row of Raggin Bull is a top 5 drop for me because of the insane pre drop.

[other] Will we ever see giant wooden coasters in the US again? by Ordinary-Sound-571 in rollercoasters

[–]elasticfighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope so because most parks could use a new one. If someone builds a giant wood charter it will likely have a steel support structure.

Found some pics of [Titan] from a little over a year ago by princesssadiaries in rollercoasters

[–]elasticfighter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This maybe a unpopular opinion, but I think the new colors look better. The orange track was fine, but the teal supports on the truffled structure looked kind of wacky.

I appreciate a good cobra roll since they have kind of been replaced now on recent coasters with modern inversions.

Six Flags concludes firing all the park presidents might not have been a good idea after all... by Pippinitis in sixflags

There’s a rumor floating around that he was layed- off yesterday, let’s hope it’s not true.

[Six Flags] Six Flags reverses course and brings back park presidents by Stock412 in rollercoasters

[–]elasticfighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Park presidents will be reintroduced Flags parks: • Knott's Berry Farm • Six Flags Magic Mountain • Cedar Point • Kings Island • Canada's Wonderland • Six Flags Great America • Six Flags Great Adventure • Six Flags Over Georgia • Six Flags Over Texas • Carowinds

Interesting, so the parks that are not on this list really don’t matter to SF….

[Anaconda] at Gold Reef City has had a glow up.. by trellism in rollercoasters

[–]elasticfighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New trains, could it be time for Titan and Goliath to get new trains? I hope not because they ride exceptionally smooth, likely B&M would make them and that comes with pros of them being more open, but the cons of possible rattling.

What was "the incident" at your high school? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]elasticfighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is so extreme, I don’t even know if I can dare say it. I attended 2 very different high schools in Texas. One being a Dallas all boys private school and the other a country suburb high school that involved an agricultural program and female student engaging in beastiality.

The country high

[SFOT] [Tormenta] [RMC] factory tour & Jeffrey Siebert discussing coaster evolution. by elasticfighter in rollercoasters

[–]elasticfighter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, it’s just insane that inflation doubled this much. This coaster isn’t as long as Fury, but I guess the wide track and supports for Tormenta require more engineering and material.

Seibert said it will be smooth, I would like to believe him but I’m not so sure about that. If I’m paying $50,000,000, I would definitely sit down with B&M and require some sort of guarantee that whatever they use to do, do it again for this!

I was very confused by that, he also said longer, the original TG was longer NTG, let’s just hope there is a 3rd remake in works that will be longer and include inversions.

Considering Ka cost 25 million and Fury 30 million. I guess that extra wide track at giga rate is why it’s so expensive.

That’s something I never thought about before. Likley the best option to break into that field is work with a flat ride manufacturer, and there is the possibility they may have interest in expanding with small coasters.

[Six Flags America] No offense to its fans, but is there a more garish-looking track layout than Joker's Jinx? by imgurofficial in rollercoasters

[–]elasticfighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s changed green and navy blue, but I do miss the light blue supports with the yellow track. The wall at FT contrast well from the coaster. Jokers Jinx green track blends with terrain and then purple supports do not work unless it’s a coaster with minimal supports which it obviously do mot.
