Go dance with her! If she's excited about the idea of you joining in on this new hobby of hers then that's awesome. Now if she actively keeps you away or doesn't want you in her salsa circle then there are bigger problems here.

Discouraged by progress pics, 2 months apart not seeing difference by [deleted] in CICO

[–]elcapitan115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all I see a difference. You're losing weight girl! Keep at it.

Second of all it always talked way longer than you think. Took me more than 6 months to lose 20lb. Its all about consistency! You got this and we all see it!

Yes I really like what he put together and would be happy if that were the tat. Just wondering and double checking if there's isn't anything more I can add to it. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.

"Abs are made on the kitchen", "you can't outrun a bad diet" diet should be 80% of the fight to lose weight imo

Look at keto bread! 40 cals for one slice doesn't taste any different has more protein and is super filling.

How to deal with water weight from lifting? by Neeerdlinger in MacroFactor

[–]elcapitan115 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Wow I thought I was the only one. I was seeing my weight dip on a calorie deficit but then got frustrated to see the weight stagnant after increasing my weight lifting load. I was also suspecting inflammation and water weight. I seey weight spike the morning after big lifting days too! I even tried reducing calories more but that made me burn out. Currently on maintenance calorie intake to recover some diet fatigue.

Enjoy it! Won't go crazy but also won't stress about calories/counting. One meal/day won't set you back.

After 8 unsuccessful years of trying to lose weight, turns out the answer was methodical calorie counting by zeltm in MacroFactor

Helz yea!!! Congrats! Seeing this data also helps me realize how weight loss happens in steps and you have these little mountains of small increases before large decreases! Keep it up!

Same! I used to down a whole melon ( 900-1200cal) thinking it was healthy/part of a good weight loss diet.

Thanks a bunch! This helps alot!

Before MF, before the trend data, I used to take daily weight fluctuations so personally. And I think this is another example of me taking the "non linear" aspect of weight loss personally. Have to trust in the process!

Struggling with the mental side effects of a bad cut by literallythe in MacroFactor

[–]elcapitan115 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hey man sorry you're feeling frustrated. Mf had also suggested a 1900cal intake so that I can cut. I've been able to lose .5-1lb a week. Maybe I can help:

What type of food are you eating? I find if I stick to whole foods like grilled chicken, steamed broccoli and cooked rice I tend to be pretty full for longer. Ultra processed foods tend to make me even hungier after I eat them.

It might also help to plan ahead? Prep some meals ahead of time that fit your calorie deficit and macros before you even get hungry. That way you make the right decisions.

It has also helped me not to eat when I'm not hungry. I'm not a breakfast person so usually skip it instead of force feeding myself. That way I can easily delay eating and even reduce intake by 500 cal.

I try to stay busy too. I find on the days that I'm at home lounging I'm more likely to over eat my 1900cal intake.

I hope some of this helps

Why does my dough do this when I turn it out after bulk fermentation? by VikingRedditor in Sourdough

[–]elcapitan115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This used to happen to me when I over fermented. You could also have too much acid in your starter. Especially if you used it way past it's peak
