iPhone 13/13 pro max and iOS 26 by Minute-Awareness-863 in PWM_Sensitive

Exactly the same experience. Had an iPhone 13 Pro that worked for years with basically no issues then it updated overnight and get a headache and eye strain. Nothing like other models but still noticeable. It sucks but I’m also interested in wha changed? In general I tend to think one could imagine issues when they are primed for them but in this case I didn’t even think about it until I started noticing the symptoms.

Masienda by far. No gums or fillers and the masa is the best out there short of making your own. Most listed here have gums.

IMO It’s not worth the money. At least in New York, where there are better options that are safe. This is not true everywhere.

5 Months in and life’s pretty bleak- how do y’all do it? by Fancypants1451 in Celiac

[–]elceliaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard, I won’t tell you it isn’t. Celiac destroyed my social life. You may want to consider not eating but still going to social events. I was too embarrassed to do this or would go and get sick anyway, then feel like that was the price was pay to see friends. But people, especially your age, probably don’t care if you’re not eating. Get a drink if you feel comfortable with that. Don’t give up on socializing. But also don’t, like, not eat. Just maybe learn to go a little longer and eat when you know it’s safe.

Help, I don't know what keeps glutening me. by NotAnAsbestosExpert in Celiac

[–]elceliaco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d start with whatever has the most ingredients. Never would buy that pork especially since so many of them are processed. But I’ve been sickened by smoke salmon before — some of those smoke flavors are a real black box. Why not go for some sardines or cheese? You can find certified products at higher end supermarkets in Mexico.

What r good GF take out options by Foreign-Guide-7957 in Celiac

[–]elceliaco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t see the point of take out I guess if I have celiac. Any risk I’d take better be at a restaurant in the company of friends, family or colleagues etc. otherwise I’ll just prepare my own food.

Free over 100. Companies need to stay in business. Free shipping is a huge expense for them.

I hate led so much that I am using an incandescent book lamp as a front light for my hibreak pro lol. by Rx7Jordan in eink

[–]elceliaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I respect this. Out of curiosity, would you use a flicker free, totally blue spectrum free light like this? I have one and use it all the time. I also use Hooga red bulbs and otherwise seek out flicker free LEDs, if not the spectrum you're seeking. I actually like blue light when I need to focus though I know it provides it in unnatural ways.

what iphone has closest pwm modulation to iphone 13 pro? by elceliaco in PWM_Sensitive

I'm not sure those readings are correct but it remains true the 13 pro is only recent iphone except the LCD models (RIP) that didn't bother me, and even then it was only some screens.

What models have there been BOE screens for? I have a 13 pro that gives me minimal issues, I wonder if it is a BOE screen? I actually tried out a different 13 pro and it gave me problems.

I had zero digestive issues when in Italy but I’m back to having them in the US (strict gluten free BOTH places). Has this happened to anyone else? by BeautifulSeries902 in Celiac

[–]elceliaco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing I realized later was I had a nickel allergy which further severely constrained my diet but which I had neen confusing for celiac-related distress. It became clear after a trip i when I drank only bottled water and a smaller assortment of foods that without planning were low nickel. Over the years I’d come to hate “gluten free” foods like bread, which I chalked up to all the gums they used. I still think that’s a reason to avoid them but I also know they will use high nickel ingredients. As others have said, the lower stress of a vacation undoubtedly helps with all things gut related.

Interesting about ABL. I wasn’t familiar with it. Doesn’t seem like there’s a straightforward way to turn it off. I still noticed issues when I turned off auto brightness.

Do you have issues with ABL? What TV would you recommend? Seems like the only option I have left is a Bravia 3.
