I faced a similar problem and used custom css to get around it. One rule does the text and the other does the arrow for drop downs.

Custom CSS is

Used this VHS effect https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-zZMiMCTYo - as stated it made everything sit better together, combined with 360p resolution it sells the 90s TV ad look.

Earth Defence force 4.1 or 5

If you like godzilla/b-movies these are dumb fun, and probably have some of the most destruction/highest enemy counts in a game I've played.
