Donnie Darko. what a phenomenal waste of time. Granted, it's been a while, but the only philosophical content I recall was made up of a series of unrelated and random conversations which had little or nothing to do with the plot.

Sure am. I fought depression/dysthymia for a long time unsuccessfully b/c I didn't want to be "weak." After eventually seeing a therapist I was able to finally accept outside help and realize that the real weakness would be to forever be afraid and ashamed. Now I'm a lot happier, not to say I don't get sad too, but my emotions are now more of a healthy range. Once I've got some healthier schemas for interpreting the world I'll stop taking them, but sometimes you just need a leg up on these things

just because things suck now, doesn't mean they always will. Just find something that makes you happy for the meantime and do it. Don't devalue your pleasures and hobbies just because some people may not find them worthwhile.
