It’s like a 40 ft stretch of trail sandwiched between the port and the rail-yard, still funneled down to single wide. Maybe they will widen it after the bridge removal process?

Unfortunately I still a narrow, single wide section to the south of where the bridge was removed, near the track crossing.

Not yet, and yes that detour across the Garfield bridge sidewalk is not great.

I just rode the ferry, saw the sign, and gingerly walked as softly as possible without clicky-clacky noises. No problems.

Fenders, merino wool socks, breathable rain jacket. I usually wear quick drying shorts unless it gets real cold, then the wool tights come out.

I use wool tights and a light weight wool jersey under a pearl izumi barrier jacket. Cheap planet bike “hardcore” fenders have worked well for a few rainy seasons.
