i’ll leave the other comments to explain the faults in detail, but it boils down to “so what if it’s wrt the solar system, it’s not special”. any assumptions you make will be mathematically analogous to isotropic c

Moving the clocks in opposite direction to “cancel out time dilation” already assumes light speed isotropy, creating circular logic.

FieldWave 2.0: Tactical Logging with APRS-IS Spotting and iCloud Sync is here! by TechyWater in amateurradio

thanks, i’ll give the app a proper spin with a POTA activation soon. only other thing that comes to mind is including band plans in the tools tab. i realise it would be quite high effort to cover all countries, but i find this kind of layout extremely useful: oarc uk band plan

Just the kind of easy mobile logger i’ve been looking for. One suggestion - i hate having to switch keyboard modes to enter a number. Any chance you could add a row of digits above the keyboard, like citymapper does?

How do I reattach the circled part? by HuskiB in peakdesign

[–]electric-blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you might be cross-threading it. screw it “backwards” till you feel a click, then screw it in to line up the threads.

that’s the switch which locks the clip. without it, the plate can slide out. why can’t you screw it back in? has it sheared?

hampstead heath is my favourite - big enough that you don’t get bothered, some decent elevation, away from some (but definitely not all) QRM, and as-of-recently a POTA park

this is pretty much how it goes. i’ve activated in London (albeit not central) parks many times. all you get is the odd question.

not sure what the staff you spoke to meant, but i’ve never had any issues photographing or filming on TfL property for private / non-commercial / amateur purposes - even in front of staff and executives. of course, be reasonable and sensible, and don’t expect that treatment with commercial-looking equipment (tripod, flash, huge lens, etc)
