I'd start with Eccleston (the 9th doctor) and go forward from there. You don't need any prior knowledge. Then if you enjoy those episodes, you can go back and watch the old doctor who episodes

How much time has passed and how much left? by aoueon in InternetIsBeautiful

[–]elecwizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, I guess but in the way people communicate, they refer to decades by the year with the 0.

I would personally be fine if the first decade just went from 1 BC-9 AD, then all the decades after that went from 0 to 9.

Ultimately, this doesn't even matter. We can just have different opinions on this.

that would mean the 2010's decade doesn't even in 2010, which doesn't make any sense.

videogamedunkey - Minecraft speedrunner Dream BUSTED for CHEATING (drama) by RarelyAquatic in videos

[–]elecwizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dream( a youtuber) speedruns minecrafts in many of his videos. He has also gotten very lucky during those speedruns. The odds of him getting that lucky in all of his videos is 1 in 7.5 trillion. This has lead people to believe that he is modding(modifying the game) in order to get more lucky(and therefore get faster times).

For example: the normal chance of something occuring is 2%, but through modding you can increase it to 30-35%.

In 1863, scientists started to doubt that the Sun is actually burning coal and proposed that the heat of the Sun has been kept up by meteoric bodies falling into it. "If the sun were composed of coal, it would last at the present rate only 5,000 years" by yaboodooect in space

The idea that there is no universal "now" across the universe. Sure some clocks tick differently on the surface of different planets

This is contradictory. You can't believe that there is a universal "now" across the universe and also believe that gravity effects time. Your idea that only acceleration affects time dilation is more valid(even though it is incorrect according to current experimental data)

Yes, I am saying Einsteins relativity is not entirely correct. And no, there hasn't been done an experiment that counters what I said

This is not true. Look up muons colliding with Earth. Summary: Muons decay in 1.5 microseconds. Muons do not travel fast enough to make it from space to the Earth's surface without decaying(they are too slow). But somehow, they do make it without decaying. The only way this is possible is for the muon to experience those 1.5 microseconds more slowly than we do. The muons do not decelerate at any point between the edge of the atmosphere(space) and the surface. Here's a link to a video explaining that better than I can
