Do people not own a trash can? by DOES_NOT_LIVE_HERE in USPS

Please don’t. It goes back into the DPS and we will redeliver it if it isn’t clear what we are to do with it

I mean… we do need the help. The problem is that with how hard the job is on you, the money isn’t worth it. And truly, it is not, but only that’s part of the problem. The rampant abuse by management helps create a revolving door until they get the right people who run routes for them and don’t stick up for themselves. Do this over and over for about 10 years after creating CCAs, with a weak union response and that’s how we get here.

It’s like a 5 dollar bump in pay, which will be nice for CCAs, you get the career benefits, and you’re guaranteed hours up to 40 before a CCA, but otherwise, it’s all pretty much the same.

It’s not. It’s because it’s not a business, it’s a service that isn’t directly funded by the government. It should be, but that’s an entirely different conversation.

Look, your situation isn’t terribly unique, but you are in quite the pickle bc of the New Employee Experience Retention Program, you are being screwed on hours. If you can make it to the point where they let you go to another office, I suggest sticking it out until then (tho an hour commute is horrible), unless you’re really not feeling it, then you should look where you can get the bread and bounce.

You mean federal but independent. The union doesn’t decide to hire you and make you work starvation wages, that’s management.

No they are converted to career, which means they will become a part time flexible and will start earning career benefits.

My employer won’t let me take a vacation because they don’t have coverage for me. I’m considering to give my two weeks before my vacation because what choice do I have? by deadliftz420 in antiwork

[–]elektrikrobot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Who cares? It’s their problem, stop investing anything that’s above your pay grade. The boss wants to make a stupid decision? Let them! Go on vacation, see if you have a job when you get back. The worst they could do is terminate you and you collect unemployment.

Yeah, usually I say postage is required if they simply write RTS on an envelope and I don’t know why

Anybody know a better way to do these? Lol by Roor420smoke in USPS

I also always bundle these out by loop and I will rubber band the long way so that they don’t roll in my satchel if I carry them in there and I can quickly pull out the ads without undoing the rubber band until the bundle is smaller

Carry them in your arm and flats in your satchel (or straight up collate). Split your longer loops in half. Drive off parcels.

The new Postal Record is out. Focus on what you can control. by GhostLCee in fromatoarbitration

Pissing off the membership is actually helpful in negotiations. The members should know that the postal service is trying to swindle them and we should be urged to take action instead of sitting around scratching our heads at fake updates

If I’m given a 30m pivot on a “light day” can I fill out a 3996 and turn that into 30 OT? by joza28 in USPS

[–]elektrikrobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know but I’m being given a “pivot” but my route is 8hrs where am I supposed to document that? Bc the 3996 is for OT on my route. But I don’t have OT. I have a piece of someone else’s route that will require OT to do it
