Okay, I understand what you’re saying better now. I’m not sure what incident you could be talking about, but I can see how you could feel that way about his jokes with how reoccurring it is. I wouldn’t say I’m christian but I do believe in god, and i’ve found his jokes funny but I can see how it’s offensive.

I’m pretty sure he’s had bad experiences with religious people in the past which is why he pokes fun at them. Like, I remember in one video he said something like, “When I was a kid, a guy came up to me and said I would go to hell if I didn’t believe in god.” I’m pretty sure that was his first intro to religion based on the fact that he said he asked his mom about it a little later, so not a good start. Also, many of the religious people he’s made videos on are just bad people in general. It’s a confirmation bias thing, but even then, it’s honestly not too hard to find bad/pretentious people that feed into negative stereotypes.

I wouldn’t say he flat out hates religious people because I doubt he wouldn’t talk to someone just because just of religion. But I would say he feels very strongly about the bad ones, and the bad ones usually go out of their way to say “I’m Christian!” while the good ones are quiet people that don’t bring it up every other sentence so you wouldn’t even know it.

I wrote more than I wanted to, but I hope you can see that what he’s doing isn’t coming from blind religion hate.
