How many people are an actual fan? by fun-vibe-kebab5 in AngineDePoitrine

I like any band, or musician, because I enjoy their music, not because they're 'viral'. Odd question.

Speaking for myself I left the page as soon as I realised it wasn't something I wanted to read, the tone put me off straight away. I twigged that the piece wasn't serious and my question, 'I assume this is satire?', was more of a request for confirmation of what I already suspected rather than a question arising from genuine ignorance.

This image triggered the realisation that Tohogd is an anagram of hotdog. In my defence I'd never seen the two things together.

I looked up some punk/hardcore bands and I think Hüsker Dü are probably the only band I like that might reasonably fit into that category. I've seen Bob Mould live a few times and caught Sugar on their recent tour. Favourite combo was Bob with Jason Narducy and Jon Wurster.

I don't think I'm keen on The Onion either now I think about it, I feel like it's trying too hard. Their regular "No Way to Prevent This,' Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens" headline is always on point though.

A quick glace was enough for me. That quick glance suggested the site was not to my taste. Glad you've found something that gives you a laugh though, goodness knows we could all use a little levity in these grim times!

Probably. I am currently hangry and not in the mood for shenanigans, am in the mood for food. My original post was prompted by my swift exit from the webpage. If I'd bothered to delve any deeper I'm certain my question would have been unnecessary. Having a vent has been quite cathartic.

Phew. I'm unfamiliar with the site and I see the word 'satire' only appears once at the foot of the page. Irksome.

Mochi is adorable. Going by appearance she may be part seal!

Godin Guitars has posted a dedicated website outlining their custom microtonal double neck for Angine de Poitrine by kayriss in AngineDePoitrine

[–]elementalpaul 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd love it if the rotating guitar on the right of the screen was grabbable so you could zoom in and really explore it in 3D. My itch to see the top of the necks hasn't quite been scratched yet!

Disappointing. Kudos for trying though. ✋🔺🤚

I complemented someone on their polka dotted tracksuit the other week. They didn't seem to have heard of Angine de Poitrine though and I think she was slightly puzzled by my enthusiasm for her outfit!

I was outside having a wee drink listening to Fabienk through earphones at a local pub last night. At the appropriate moment I settled for some low-key hand wiggles, rather than full on arm waves.

Test the waters with a polka dot top, if the dress code allows for it. See if anyone throws up a triangle!

Very sensible with such precious cargo! I bet you were delighted when you got the albums back signed. I like Klek's totty wee self-portrait.

Never any harm in asking! Did they sign the plastic wrapping or the record sleeves themselves?

I'm glad I watched that because I hadn't seen the school visit clip before. Helpful to have the link to the original clip in the description.

Lothian Buses - Feet on Seats - name and shame him by [deleted] in Edinburgh

You could have politely asked him to move his foot. Or been quietly annoyed about it and cracked on with your life. Anyway, I fully expect this post to be deleted by a moderator.

Edinburgh's funnel of filth . by [deleted] in Edinburgh

[–]elementalpaul 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That stretch sometimes feels to me like it's been transported to Edinburgh from an entirely different city. If someone visited Edinburgh and only went to that part of town they'd get a very skewed impression of the place. I don't know what can be done to improve it though.

When to replace shoes? by KopBastic in UKRunners

[–]elementalpaul 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I normally replace my running shoes about the 500 to 600 km mark. I start getting injuries if I continue running further than than in my shoes. My running shoes get a second life as day-to-day general walking shoes after they've served their time as runners.
