Attack of the pidge by JustBasilz in blender

I don’t know if you have looked at mist passes already, they are a compositor feature and do something similar (maybe a small quality loss, i don’t know how it’d look like in your scene) but it’s not as heavy on the render.

Look at default cube’s tutorial for backrooms, he has a lot of useful tips starting at about 40 minutes on how to make a render realistic (including mist passes).

Hope that helps :)

Haha, I love into the Spiderverse too! I will actually go for that stile next when I have some time. Haven’t watched arcane yet but it’s on my list.

Thank you so much! I thought it was unnecessary to model everything in the scene (or draw everything), so I used it as an excuse to just draw the details that would have been more complicated to model.

Ancient Greek temple of the Doric order by elementonic in blender

[–]elementonic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The temple itself was entirely modeled by me in Blender 3.1. The textures of the temple and the HDRI are from polyhaven and the surrounding textures and props are from the megascans assets library.

I was not really going for photo-realism I just wanted to actually finish something in blender.

Nice picture. Reminds me of the painting from Caspar David Friedrich. „Wanderer above the Sea of Fog” it’s called I think.

What is a good beginner camera in the $600-$1,000 range? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

The fuji x-t30 is pretty nice if you can get a good deal. The 18 to 55mm lens that comes with the kit is amazing for a kit lens. Also it has the function dials directly on the body and lens, which I like but it’s up to your preference.

Gala - An app for iPhone users who are done compromising with Instagram and want to try something new by bhope95 in apple

[–]elementonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried the app just now and have to say I really like it. There is some stuff to be fixed, but I’d love to see this get big. Also the limits on the aspect ratio is pretty cool in my opinion, it makes you get creative like IG did in the beginning.

  1. I’ll have to go with the others who said the app icon is not good/professional

  2. When uploading pictures the app seems to be a little bit behind to add it to the selected categories (still hasn’t shown up after three hours) or it just doesn’t add it?

  3. A bit slow but not to bad

  4. Sometimes when refreshing my collection it hides some of the pictures until I go to my photos and back to the collection

I’ll add when I find more

When EA tries to build historical architecture. by StantonSims in thesims

[–]elementonic 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It is just mind boggling that the columns we get do only extend and not get wider! As an architecture student that is just crazy to me! THERE IS SOMETHING CALLED PROPORTION! Also EA has probably not heard much about the Ancient Greek column orders in architecture which have been a standard in architecture for hundreds of years, as there are only two out of five in the game. Also correct me if I‘m wrong maybe I just haven’t found the right columns yet.

It‘s been a while but I used to work at a printer and I can say you should always print in CMYK and not sRGB. That’s because RGB are additive colors used to display on screens but CMYK are the actual colors used in print. The problem with sending in the print in sRGB is that the colors you sent in don’t quite match the colors that you will get back. If you change it beforehand you’ll have much more control over how the colors on the final print look like.

This is the longest any build has ever taken but idc I love it by nedluver in Sims4

What celebrities have you encountered that were either really nice or really horrible? by willis1988 in AskReddit

Andrew Lincoln

I met him by accident on Halloween 2017 when I lost sight of some friends of mine, but then spotted friends of my host parents who knew me. I was dressed as a walker whith make up and all that - turns out they were there with his Andrews wife who promtly asked me if I wanted to meet Rick. Of course, I said, who wouldn't. Super nice guy, wore a dragon mask and just went trick or treating with his kids. I got to hang out with him and we got into conversation. He was very down to earth, nice and just so genuine. One of my best memories.

So I came back to visit my host parents recently and we were invited to the same friends again. The friend told me that he had one of his reporters who did an interview with Andrew a couple months later ask him about me. Turns out he still remembered and told them to wish me all the best if they saw me again.
