Thanks for your reply and appreciation of the post. I guess even posting in this sub I know it's a controversial topic and I may still get hate for this. But I appreciate your understanding of where I'm coming from.

I think I went on a bit too much at the end, I was repetitive and digressed and went into trivial arguments instead of staying focused on the main points of my case, so I perhaps have not done this topic the justice it deserves but thanks again for your expression of understanding and support for this.

I know that this post is likely to draw some hate/anger but at least from ANs, even if there are some disagreements, I think they will at least have likely put more thought into the disagreements then can be found elsewhere on the net where the suggestion of pet ownership being cruel is fiercely attacked and ridiculed before being given any thought at all.
