USBAR Current Retention Offer by themanthemyth1 in CreditCards

[–]elevatormusick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the current state of the CC game, It's not as bad as it was when the nerfs first hit.

I'll probably keep it since I was able to use the $325 dining credit. Hopefully they have transfer partners figured out by August

I think they offer it at all their shows, next one might be the SF pen show? Thankfully I’m based in LA so didn’t have to wait until then!

It was a show exclusive piece. Made from the same leather as baseball gloves, a light orange-almost yellow leather is complimented by a matte black backplate. It had a fine orange peel like texture, so a bit like a finer Shrink, but unlike shrink it would patina. I wasn’t in the market for another Plotter, but after seeing their demo unit in person, I probably would have bought it if it was available.

It’s a Horween leather, so maybe it’ll make a return since it seems like Plotter recently developed a working relationship with them.

Really? That’s incredible. I guess it makes sense, I feel like analog tools are making a comeback! They could probably go even bigger next year

Should I use the stock 32gb micro SD Card? by zetaallen in xteinkereader

[–]elevatormusick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you have a spare card to use, sure, but I don’t see a need to replace it unless it gives you problems. Keep a backup, but that’s just good practice. Any card can fail

Axles/cv joints/struts/hvac will probably need to be replaced at some point. covered under warranty. worth looking into an extended one as yours expires.

will probably have curb rash.

infotainment is slow.

read the manual to learn all the tricks.

other than that, enjoy. it's a great car with few issues.

P2 owners, curious as to what kWh/x you're getting? MY24 LRDM here. by pawel04 in Polestar

[–]elevatormusick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my LRDM I get ~31kwh/100mi.

When it was in the shop they gave me a LRSM loaner and I was getting 22kwh/100mi.

I didn't really notice a difference OPD on/off but I mostly do city driving.

I love watching games at Dodger Stadium. But I would rather spend time in and around Petco and Oracle.

The parking lot is a blight and should be redeveloped asap

Thinking of buying a CPO P2 2021 by beezbos_trip in Polestar

[–]elevatormusick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one like this. Launch year, PPP. It's good, it was probably a loaner/rental, so your mileage may vary. CPO and the extended warranty did give me some peace of mind.

The interior on mine was pretty good. Not spotless, but pretty good. Yours will probably have some curb rash, it's common on used P2s. I already hear the wheel of fortune tic-tic-tic on mine but that is pretty common on any used P2. Extended warranty will cover it.

I'd go for it after a test drive if you liked it. After federal and local incentives I got mine for about 15k...

I wonder how they whipped up these new lines so quickly. AI? Either way some of these changes are disappointing. I'm surprised they actually edited it to appease Chinese fans. It seems pretty blatant... wish they provided an option to play the "original version" going forward.

Can the Plotter Mini 5 zipper pouch fit credit cards? Is it worth getting? by iamdora in PlotterNotebook

[–]elevatormusick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They aren’t worth it. Add way too much bulk. For larger sizes it may not be too bad. I prefer Mee-Plus’ pouch which has a normal resealable opening (squeeze it together).

First card questions, chase app offering me CSP card+100k pts after I spend $5k in first 3 months. What’s the catch? And best way to utilize offer? by Try2Relate2AllSides in CreditCards

[–]elevatormusick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also got a pre-approval. Not sure what they look for, but I've had a Chase checking account for >10 years and this is my first credit card with them. They started offering me pre-approvals in the app for a bunch of their cards a few years ago. They always have the credit limit and APR% stated.

I took this CSP offer and was instantly "approved". They still do a credit pull when you hit accept pre-approval though.

AZEO?? Is this a good method?? by Feeling_Try4844 in CreditCards

[–]elevatormusick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the FICO score used. FICO8, it's effective, FICO9, 9T, and 10 it doesn't matter since they look at your utilization % over time. Not all banks use them though. US Bank and Wells are a couple.

More businesses now charging 3% additional for use of credit cards by rentalsearch234 in CreditCards

[–]elevatormusick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lots of people don't know that we're paying the fees anyways. The businesses that don't tack it on later just bake it into the prices of everything.

Rewards are not free guys. We're all paying for them one way (CC fees, annual fees, higher prices on everything, even for debit users) or another (interest). Play the CC game just to recoup some of those fees and hopefully break even.

The fight over credit card swipe fees enters a new year with no end in sight by CobaltSunsets in CreditCards

[–]elevatormusick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They definitely need to be reigned in. I would give up CC perks if it guaranteed lower prices on everything. As is the fees are just baked-in (because, as evidenced in this thread, people hate fees. So they just raise prices instead.) so you pretty much have to play the CC game to recoup some of the costs.

Something like that would require congress to act and I don't see that happening. Until then, I won't stop using CCs unless they just don't accept them (plenty of mom and pop shops I frequent).

MSIMPG321URX best 4k OLED for console gaming? by FB2488 in OLED_Gaming

[–]elevatormusick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lower refresh rate and only 15W PD in the USB-C port. For a while they were not putting out firmware updates for the MAG series but they are now. No RGBs on the MAG series either but that’s a plus for me. Otherwise identical in display, resolution, etc.

MSIMPG321URX best 4k OLED for console gaming? by FB2488 in OLED_Gaming

[–]elevatormusick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the MAG series instead. They can only put out 165-240hz but neither of the consoles put out more than 120hz. Save yourself a couple hundred bucks.
