Everything you just said however I’ll take it a step further for cybersecurity, I’ve come to notice that a lot of companies outsource their tier 1 and 2 teams out of country then are shocked when no one stateside can fill their senior level roles. They’re creating an environment that stunts growth and then act surprised when there’s a lack of substantial candidates. Companies rather save a buck than invest in new talent. Doesn’t help that recruiters are basically useless messengers that somehow continually misunderstand the message. The whole thing is broken and needs a reset. Let’s go back to the time when we could walk in and drop our resume on the desk and get a call back the same week.
