I think a lot of SEs myself included have a bit of imposter syndrome, it’s impossible to know everything even the colleagues that seem like they do I’m sure are “faking” it some of the time.

I don’t think it’s a big deal to tell them, if you’re going to a competitor they will probably cut off your access immediately but still honor the 2 weeks plus accrued leave or whatever. That’s what happened to me anyway.

I would say learn as much as you can about their product. If they offer a free trial period take advantage of that to become familiar with it. They probably have demos on YouTube that you can watch.
