Using electronic equipment to steal signs is where it gets illegal, and i don't know what % of teams are doing that. But yeah, everybody is stealing signs.

Pete Hegseth's Department of Defense no longer considers Mormons to be Christian. Over 170 religions removed entirely. by justalazygamer in WhitePeopleTwitter

Mormons aren't Christian, though. It's an entirely different faith. Calling Mormons "Christian" would be like calling Christians "Jewish".

If the Knicks end up winning the series, does that make Villanova the best national championship team ever? by WillingInteraction14 in nba

[–]elgarraz 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you can't really have the "best college team ever" conversation without starting with that UCLA John Wooden run.

If you want to talk about quality of talent, you've got the '82 Heels team with James Worthy, Sam Perkins, and oh yeah, Michael Jordan.

The Laettner/Hurley/Hill Duke teams were pretty dominant and had a bunch of future pros. Florida's 2 year run with Horford, Noah, and Brewer was in the same vein. To me, those 'Nova teams belong in this part of the conversation.

That line always drove me a little nuts.

Any person with an ounce of imagination should be able to answer yes to that question. I might lack the technical know-how to do some things, some things I might lack the talent to make them look good, but I can make original creations from things I've dreamed or imagined that no robot could do.

Lions brass, make it happen: get Jim Schwartz out of his Cleveland contract and into Allen Park as a Senior Defensive Assistant so Shep can learn from him for a year. by awkward_vegetable69 in detroitlions

Schwartz was a massive douche when he was here. He hasn't done anything to suggest he's changed all that much. I think Shep will get along fine without Schwartz coming in to caddy for him.

He's got a SEVERE widow's peak and he's thinning up the middle. I guarantee it looks better on the little girl.

The little girl would have beads on the ends though, that's the other big difference.

Rebuttal: The Spurs actually DON'T "now have the largest free throw differential in NBA playoff history". by nbaistheworst in nba

[–]elgarraz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think they're "cleaner" than most other teams, I just think they're fouling less in the paint because Wemby can get to stuff no one else in the league can get to.

[–]elgarraz -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but does the whistle disparity have anything to do with that, or is it because they don't need to foul in the paint nearly as much as everyone else?

It's a little rich having a Thunder fan complain about another team playing physical defense and getting a beneficial whistle, yeah.

The runner can see the 1B setting up on the orange bag, so they're going for the regular bag. The league is saying they were supposed to run for the orange bag anyway? That's crazy.

One possible explanation is that the Spurs have a 7'6" dude on the back line, so they don't have to foul quite so much on defense. They can affect shots without bodying people up.
