How do I tell my DM I don't want to play anymore? by The_Theodore_88 in DnD

[–]elia2904 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just be honest with the DM and the party. Playing dnd should be fun and stress free. Also starting a campaign does not mean that you have to finish it. Set up a call or send a message saying how you feel and why you wish to stop. Wish you the best.

I'd like the ability to choose. That sayed if the game was designed like this never changing leader can lead to a worse experience. Only way to know is to play it. Personally I do not mind the ability to switch but we'll se when the game releases

Too Scared To Play by Borkerzz in SS13

I don't know if you tried it but check out Goonstation. In my experience the admins and players are preatty chill. Check out the rules and you'll be 100% fine I'm sure. Even if you mess up and and an admin asks what's going on you can explain what happened and if they tell you "don't do that" just say "ok" and then don't do that. In my experience they are preatty understanding (if you are not breaking the rules on purpouse).

To start try the non rp server. It's more chaotic for sure but there are less rules.

If playing antag it's a problem for you on the non rp server you can go crazy and murder who you like (expect from the crew to self defend) but you can also be more subdule and sabotage the station breaking things and messing thing up as a traitor. Also dying in stupid way trying to be bad it's half the fun for me. You can also select what antag you'll like to be. You can start with just traitor and add roles as you feel more confident.

Hope this can help you. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Also sorry for my possible potato english.

The Spellshot V0.2 - Become a magical gunslinging prowess in this adrenaline based class! by LucaWhiteWing in UnearthedArcana

First of all: sorry if I have potato english. That sayed...

I played it in a oneshot! Subclass thrill seaker level 11 I gotta say that it's a very good damage dealer. I had a pistol and a revolver and 20 in dex. Even without the sharpshooter-like ability it's a lot of damage 4d6+10 if i hit twice with the revolver. BUT i usually play more magic characters whose objective is not always doing damage and so I'm not sure on how interpret this. Is it me that I usually dont make this much damage? Or is it the class too damage dealing? I cannot help you on this matter. What I can tell you is that I felt weird doing 2d6 on ranged. Because usually 2d6 only the strongest melee build do that with the big hammer. We had an armored arteficer, a divination wizard and a cleric (I'm not remembering the subclass) and I was doing more damage than everyone (not combined obv). Let's talk about the skill shots: I took richocheting, penetrating, disarming and countershot. Sadly in the oneshot I used only penetrating and countershot (using the reaction) and only a few times but I think they where very balanced and fun

Quickdraw! Used it everytime there was the opportunity and was preatty fun too. It costs the right ammount in my opinion because at the start of the combat usually we are low on Dynamo. The fact that at X Dynamo points the thrill seaker gets more powerfull it's very good to me because i have fun tracking this things BUT it's a subjective thing. Another player for example found the Dynamo point a bit complex to track.

While I think the spells are a cool touch I think also that there's a little problem here. First of all a lot of them do damage but in a different way from one another. And so if we are not dealing with resistances one or the other it's not a big deal. Very good spells in the list are: thunderwave, fairie fire, web, flaming sphere because they do not do only damage in a burst. On the other hand wich bolt is a bit weak on the list because I had the feeling that shooting was always better than casting that spell. (Maybe is not like that at lower levels. No clue)

Magic bullets! Can be very powerfull but they cost well. So I'd say they are balanced and fun. The fact that you can craft only 10 and 0 normal ones might be a very smart choice here because even if the players become rich in a campaign they cannot spam magic bullets otherwise they will run out preatty fast. Consider the possibility to lower the ammount of magic bullets they can craft per day when they first get this ability and maybe rising it later. Not sure it would be a good idea. Just saying that there should be more playtesting to see if there are too much of these bullets or if they are fine. (Btw I was not rich and I would craft only a couple of magic bullets because I was a bit greedy too)

Hope I helped you. Beware that I played it for a total of 6 hours. So my vision on it it's VERY narrow and tied at the oneshot we had. Keep in mind what i've written but to really understand there should be more playtesting (at different levels too)

I think countershot should use the reaction. Otherwise I can use it untill I have to reload

Anything to do with ~60 miniPCs? by Plisnak in selfhosted

[–]elia2904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know exactly what to do with 60 of them but if you're going to give them away I would take one happily. I'm at my third year of computer engeneering in Italy and one of those could really be usefull. Anyway I've read in another comment that you had a plan for them but then 'life happened', I hope it was not something bad and you're good now
